Chester was often describe with “Sings like an angel, Screams like a demon.”
So true with this one

Fun fact:   When Chester went into the recording booth for that particular section (where the scream came in), he pulled it out, and EVERYONE had their jaw hit the floor at it because it was NOT what Mike Shinoda had in mind.  Chester simply said "I didn't know how long you wanted me to hold it".   and Mike, being the awesome guy he is, rearranged the rest of the song around what Chester just laid down.

A truly defining moment for that Minutes to Midnight album, and LP in general.

Your face during that held scream is everything.

I think every LP fan lives for reactors reaction to that scream note. Chester knew what he was doing, may he forever rip

Surprisingly the live version is an even longer scream. 22 seconds.
Chester was an insane talent.

She doesn't know about live version xDD

Linkin Park - QWERTY live in Tokyo. A MUST SEE! The incredible talent of Chester is on display! The toggle between scream and clean vocals is unmatched

I wish i could go back to the first time i ever heard "the scream"

Chester had such passion and power to convey the emotion behind the songs... He was one-in-a-million singer...

We still miss you Chester 💔
You saved so many of us but we couldn't save you 😭
Rest in Peace ❤

When he goes from that long scream straight back into the clean vocal... that's just perfection.

Chester wasn't just writing songs, he was writing confessions RIP my brother!

Your face during the first round of "The Scream" was matched by me watching you, likewise with the goosebumps. I watch reaction videos so I can relive my first time hearing songs for the first time

7:43 I always thought he was mimicking hyperventilating here since the lyrics are “I hyperventilate” like he is short of breath from a panic attack! Lucky to have seen him live once!

Now for a flip side check out him singing Rolling in the Deep live at the AOL festival. Chester gives goosebumps regardless of what he sings. He was incredible

It's like he vibrates the hell out of his voice when he says hyperventilate.  No idea how he did that, but it sounds badass.

17 second scream reaction hype

The longer the scream went the bigger your eyes got and the lower your jaw went!!!  The same reaction most of us had!  Wonderful and pure reaction!

Hell yeah. You should check out their cover of Rolling in the Deep.

It's really easy to sound authentic when it is authentic.... Just like comedians, the ones who are in the most pain are the funniest.... And die the earliest... I Love Linkin Park and I love Chester rip my boy
