I expected dinosaurs. That. That was not a dinosaur.

Counterpoint: the "climax" being lackluster is extremely on point given the theme.

Another layer to "it/he" point.. Some people name their genitalia and thus a phallic could be "he" from the person's perspective. But flash it to stranger and they'd call it "it".

Biggus Dickus: The Horror Story

If theres anything the Venus of Willendorf proves, its that thicc has always been a force of good.

First I wanna say this was a great video.
And also, I think the reason why Ron is the guy who kills Rawhead Rex is that Ron could represent more non toxic parts of masculinity, someone who was a loving father who used something that represented femininity to kill Rex, showing Ron is far more masculine than Rawhead Rex ever will be in his false sense of superiority.

Of course I probably am wrong, but I’d like to  think that’s what Clive was trying to portray.

Another theory on the Venus figures is that they’re self portraits, since they are foreshortened to show how it looks if you’re looking down at your own chest, belly, and legs.

The use of a male protagonist being some guy could stand for the positive aspects of masculinity like fatherhood or brotherhood he witnessed his young son being devoured by the toxic aspects of masculinity and saw him literally and figuratively be killed by it and so to combat the creature using a female influence such as the idol to defeat it you could say our protagonist combined the good aspects of masculinity with the aspect of femininity to subdue the more toxic aspects of masculinity the creature represents. I hope that interpretation makes since and doesn't come out to muddled btw. Excellent video all around I was right in assuming another masterpiece! Fantastic job!

I've only ever read the short-story, so in my mind Rawhead just looked like Pumpkinhead, but the comic adaption of Rawhead Rex fucking rules!

Between Rawhead Rex and Possibly in Michigan, I love that this channel has become a place for me to get invested in something that I didn't even know existed until I clicked onto the video. Also, it might be because I'm British, but I took one look at Clive Barker and just knew he was English, before knowing anything about the man.

The only idea I could have for a more thematically appropriate demise would be like…the protagonist man tossing the effigy down Rex’s gaping maw and the thought he’d consumed a woman even in effigy filling him with such revulsion that he rips himself asunder like rumplestiltskin trying to get it out.

An idea as to why Rawhead Rex mainly targets children: a lot of real animal species have a system where a male will mate with a random female and kill her preexisting young. I like to think that whatever species Rawhead Rex is from, they had a similar system when they were the dominant predators.

Really interesting that both of your analyses so far have revolved around the central antagonists being representations of predatory masculinity!

Not sure if it was intentional, but it's nice to see themes like that being discussed, I hope there's more to come :333

HOLY SHIT HES BACK

Fun fact, there is a theory that the Venus figurines are actually self portraits of the women themselves. The theory posists that the proportions is partially due to them looking quite literally down at themselves to scuple the figurine.

Dude what a great video, this dude is going places.

Rawhead killing children reminds me of how male bears and lions will kill their own children so their   Mothers would have no choice to mate with them.

Probably not what he intended but it disgusted me none the less

I have recently read in other great work of fiction that human civilization has started from rocks. Making weapns from them, making tools from them, because humans are weak, but have learned to make tools to substitute it. So maybe  Rawhead being that primal being relying solely on the might of his own body refusing to use anything else, being bludgeoned to death by probably the first tool humanity has invented has something to say.
