I liked that the Talisman levels' maps were designs to represent the level. Shady Oasis was one of the fruit trees in it, Fracture Hills was a Satyr with bagpipes, etc..

One thing I didn’t like about the reignited trilogy is that they changed the skeleton dance music into Fortnite BS.

13:38 This comparison of Spyro 3 to crossbreading dogs is astonishing accurate.

Original soundtrack >>>> remastered soundtrack
I've played the trilogy 3 years ago for the first time it's not a nostalgia
In the original the samples and instruments are more unique and it's hit the tone hard like " TE TA TO" but the remaster hit it so soft like "WE WA WO"( I hope someone can understand this weird explain) and this makes it so atmospheric that i can listen to it  outside the game
Actually I  don't hate it that much but the original is way better

Spyro 1 does have an auto-hover in case you were wondering. It’s hit or miss, sometimes it’s more harmful than not, like the game will hover too soon and cause you to fall to your death, but other times it’s genuinely helpful.

(Also I genuinely wanna find out how to get that scorched grass glitch, it honestly looks cool to me lol)

Picking up Spyro Reignited Trilogy over the original Spyro trilogy reminds me of the videogame equivalent of hangin' out with a group of friends discussing where they should get pizza and being like: "Anything will be fine for me, you choose", which doesn't help with taking any decision.

I have the Platinum trophy for all 3 of the Spyro remasters on PS4 they are fantastic games and so much better than the originals.

The speedway levels were seriously annoying

Spyro 1 is by far the hardest game in the trilogy with Spyro 3 being the easiest and best and Spyro 2 is awesome

As a life long Sypro fan as well, I loved this video <3 So funny and nostalgic.

My only exposure to spyro so far was a crash bandicoot 3 bloopers vid from like 15 years ago where crash had to marry spyro or something…

For the Worlds, the first game was based in the dragon realm. Dragons were said to be magical that their presence brings magic to worlds. Sheila says this in the third game when you first meet her.
In the second game, Spyro was practically intersected by a different reality (Avalar) where each realm was inhabited by a certain species. Those realms felt more grounded to me because of that.
In the third game it was mentioned that dragons use to be there but left which took out the magic.
So in a way, the “forgotten worlds” were still linked to the dragons so the levels still possess some of the first game’s whimsical charm.

So the differences in the 2nd game’s levels compared to the others seem to be done purposely.

Also, I wonder why Hunter went with Spyro in the third game?

I feel like they’re both great on their own. Obviously the remaster is better graphics wise, but you cannot deny the charm of the original. If anything, I didn’t like how detailed every NPC and enemy became. Some of them went from something extremely cute and intriguing to, something with way too many details. If I had a PS2 I would most likely play the originals more than the remaster, but the remaster gets the Spyro itch scratched for me without complaint

Good video watched the whole thing

Yes. What holds back the PS1 originals is the 30fps framerate cap, camera and control. Meanwhile i play the remakes with unlocked framerate on PC. But there is a huge flaw with the remakes, the music is so overshadowed by the originals (specially Spyro 3).

Compare Midnight Mountain, Spooky Swamp and Agent 9 from the remakes vs Steward Copeland from the PS1 games, night&day difference.

For some reason Spyro 2 was called Gateway To Glimmer in some locations lol.

5:00 This is weird... This never happened to me. I played the PS4 version when it was released and the PC version one year later... I don't know what happened there.

Any one still playing this game I just started playing the reignited version just about a week ago also
I have not played any of them this is my first time playing I like them
They did good with the games from the little bit that I have played all tho I never played the originals I have played Spyro 1 its fun

Also is there a multiplayer game in the series

Except for one glaring issue with Reignited; there's only really one game out of the three available on the disc whereas the other two require an day one patch to download, so if you don't have a good network connection of any kind....you're fucked. So really, it's not as accessible as it should've been.

Cool video

I have some gripes about reignited. There's some creative liberties they took that are just arbitrary and didn't need to happen in both the audio and character/level design department.  Colossus for example.. the monk's iconic chant is totally different for no reason. The controls for Spyro 2 ice hockey are incredibly butchered so now Spyro moves way too damn slow now for it to be enjoyable. For a spyro 3 example, look at the tiki lodge inhabitants. They look nothing like they should and are australian now for some unexplained reason.

The guidebook/atlas is completely cut, as are the epilogues that came with them. Now it's just a generic menu. The golden 3D aesthetic for spyro 1 isn't totally there in the HUD either. It's all been watered down and over modernized, same with the title screen.

I think the level aesthetics are too "whimsical" and cartoony at times as well. In Spyro 2 and 3 the colored trees in the homeworlds look too much like they're from The Lorax or something. The inflections of some Spyro 2/3 characters are off too. In the OG Ripto's Rage/YOTD. Spyro delivered his lines a lot calmer and I prefer his OG delivery. They butchered Elora's voice and design too imo. She has a weird red forehead, sounds like a chipmunk, has an ugly  face, is missing her fox tail, and I think they could've made her hair look nicer... She reads as younger in reignited when in the OG she was supposed to be a wise guide/guardian of Avalar type.

There's so many other little things I could point out about Reignited that miss the mark. I don't think Reignited is a bad attempt at the remake by any means, but there's also a lot of things they could've done way better. Spyro 1 has the least issues with bad creative liberties.
