Not many people pick up that it was Eve’s friend she was watching in the last scene that was dancing. She became a real ballerina.

I'm so bummed this didn't do better in theaters, because I think it's legitimately a top-tier Wick movie. Such a blast!

I was both very sad and happy at seeing Lance Reddick in his final appearance on film as one of my favorite characters of his Charon. Rest In Peace Lance, you’ll live forever in our hearts.

This is genuinely one of those times where extensive reshoots saved a movie. I loved how the whole movie you have Eve kicking ass but the second she goes up against John Wick she's outclassed in every way. Also they just released a deleted scene that revealed why John helped the Director and he's on a train getting passage, but she calls and threatens to basically cut off the passage she's giving him and revealing his location to the other assassins if he doesn't hunt down Eve. Very badass movie!

I love that wick is like that one vader fight where he has a patience bar not a health bar

i like that this kinda demonstrates the idea that you can be a worse/weaker fighter and still beat your opponent as long as you can not only hit your enemy, but take more hits than they can. fighting is not only about strength, positioning, etc. arguably one of the biggest factors is endurance and most people dont really understand that.

The timeline of the series is as follows: John Wick takes place, 4 days later, John Wick 2 takes place, 1 hour later, John Wick 3 takes place, Ballerina shows John visiting Russka Roma, which is still part of the third installment, and 2 months later, the main events of Ballerina take place. By this point, John has already recovered from his injuries from the fall in the third installment and has been freed from his excommunication, so we see him not fearing for his life, at least until the events of John Wick 4, which take place six months after John Wick 3.

I did not expect this movie to be as awesome as it was. Eve is such an empathetic character, and I love how her “tribe” aren’t just assassins but bodyguards as well. Now we have another person to carry on this franchise if Keanu hangs up the bulletproof suit.

fucking hell, the physicality and ferocity of expression from Ana's performance in this is on a whole other level. acting isn't just making faces and saying lines, it's a full-body emotional experience, and this is a movement piece. it's modern dance with special effects put to film. with lines and story and amazingly creative stunts. not even to mention the cinematography.

Never in my life did I think a flamethrower could be used in such a precise and tactical way. Now I’m hoping tons of more shooter video game franchises try and make flamethrowers like this.

One of the best movies in 2025. Super underrated, disappointed it didn't get the love in theaters.

I loved it, one of my favourites of the year so far. I want Ballerina 2!

I also like how it didn't feel like a John Wick replacement too. I think it was handled really well and can def stand alone. I also like that they addressed the "fight like a girl" thing coz there's no way she fights normally and beats men who are obviously stronger and bigger.

"This is suicide its john wick"😂

This franchise just doesn’t miss! I loved this movie so much.

52:52 there is actually a deleted scene this is supposedly straight before chapter 4 John was on his way to Japan and the boss lady called him for a favor and that is to kill eve first before continuing his journey to Japan idk why they deleted it 😅😂

@AzureSteel 1 year ago

Most underrated film of the year for sure. Not enough people talking about how great it is. I had so much fun watching it at the theatre. 😍

Last night I found a cut scene from this where Jon gets a call from the Director while he’s in transit to Casablanca. She basically is like “You owe me one. Usually people don’t collect on a favor this quick, but I need you to come back and take care of this thing”.
It’s very hand wavy and sorta makes the timeline make sense. It makes sense to cut it because it seems like it is almost pandering because it is obviously sorta off.
That being said, watching Greg react to the second cameo where they fight, he eventually is like “you know, I don’t really care why, I’m just glad he’s here”.
The things Jon Wick does are supernatural. He IS the boogeyman. Just because the stunt choreography brings an unparalleled practical realism, you have to enjoy always suspending your disbelief. That’s not a pass to be gratuitously inconsistent, but an avenue for your imagination to entertain the unbelievable. Jon Wick movies play like legends or fables. There is a certain matter of factness to the presentation, but at the core these are all installments of virtual ghost stories.
He’s the Babba Yagga, he’s everywhere and nowhere at once.
John Wick movies are fairy tales. They are gritty cyber-noir samurai movies. Nothing would be effective if anything were really real. They’re the bedtime stories for bad guys babies in this universe.
My favorite parts are when I am able to stop thinking and get lost in the music.
