Be glad that playing Arthur in MvC doesn't force you to play the entire arcade run twice in a row.

Glad this series got representation and as a old Youtuber will say.

"This isn't Mega Man 1, this isn't Zelda 2, this isn't even the Lost Levels, this is Ghost and Goblins and the game will make you remember it's name. "

I guess Arthur realized Morrigan isn't another demon. As he calls her Lady Morrigan in Infinite. Kinda of a nice growth in his character.

I don’t know if anyone has said this but with Arthur’s goddess bracelet super, you can loop it over and over if you have the meter. This is marvel 3s version of Hyper Viper Beam

Here's the best way to play as Arthur:

1) Get the knife.

2) Get the knife.

3) Get the knife.

I honestly love Arthur's presence in MvC, partly because I'm a sucker for crossover fighter characters that bring in the mechanics/play styles from their own games, but also because, as you said, he's Capcom royalty at this point. I do also love that everyone at Capcom are basically always fanboy-ing out about the series, with the cameos popping up almost everywhere xD
Also, wow, Maximo mention, Breath of Fire mention AND the Aladdin SNES music cue, you were really on fire with this one.
Also, one of my favorite random GnG facts is that Arthur is just in his early 20s. Man, the beard really does add some age to your look, huh?

When I first played Marvel 3, Arthur was the only Capcom character I know that wasn't a Street Fighter or Zero so I gravitated towards him immediately. Still one of the more fun conversions of a gameplay style to a fighter in the series.

W AVGN reference right there

Nice! Arthur. One of my Mvc3 mains. I was honestly expecting you to do him this October, so when you didn't, I thought we would have to wait until next year for his video.

Simon and Arthur should be considered martyrs in the FromSoftware game universes.

Now that I think about it, the way Arthur’s moveset works in these games is almost one-for-one with how Mega Man operates in Smash with heavy emphasis on zoning and various projectiles more than he did in the MVC games.

Even their animations where they based them on the older sprites but 3D-ified.

I gotta admit, that line about catfood with Rocket is pretty funny.

still one my favourite game character for a game i can't beat

One of the best additions to the MVC cast
Love his relationship with Thor in Infinate.
Also hes a pretty cool zoner

2:41 The way even the brightest stars can end up crashing down...

5:52 Tetsu Inada also voiced Doggie Kruger from Dekaranger.

Unecessary tidbits, but hey I like how the last mentioned cameo game, Astro Bot, also added that Whoopee Camp game, Tomba!, as an added Christmas bot. Funny since Tomba! was originally released on Christmas Day 1997.

Nice how Team Asobi got both of Tokuro Fujiwara's characters to appear.

Here's to the oldest Capcom playable character in the series outside of the legacy character SonSon in MVC2!

Arthur was one of my main stays in MvC3, gold armor assist saved me more times than I can count

24:40 - This might actually be a reference—not to Ghosts 'n Goblins specifically, but arcade games as a whole.  "No miss" (alternately, "no miss clear") is a primarily Japanese term used for beating a game without losing a life, and is apparently derived from the word "mistake".  It's primarily associated with shmups, but I've seen it applied to other arcade games, or games that are clearly made in the vein of arcade games; seeing as GnG started life in the arcades, it would make sense for the developers to have Arthur reference this in some way.

Arthur will always be associated with Bob's furniture to me cause the local one where I grew up had a room with arcade machines and that's where I first played G&G. Also the og Donkey Kong, was a little room. Wonder if they still got em
