Thanks for the tips. I made headbands before and my tip is, first make a gauge and see how much stretchy the fabric is. My seemed fine first but then it turned out tgey were too big for my head because of the stretching of the yarn. I used an acrilic and cotton mix. On the other hand, I didn't have this problem with 100% cotton yarn. I read that untreated wool is also good for keeping its shape. Maybe alpaca which is softer would be best for a winter crochet project.
