I Recreated the Viral NEXT Crochet Cardigan for Under £12 🧶✨

Hello Fellow Yarn Lovers! 🧶✨
Today's video is all about a cardigan that kept following me around the internet... 👀😂
You know the one — the viral NEXT crochet cardigan that seemed to be absolutely everywhere. The more I saw it, the more I thought:
"Surely I can just make that myself?" 😏🧶
So instead of spending fast-fashion prices on a cardigan I knew I could recreate, I grabbed my yarn, picked up my hook, and challenged myself to crochet my own version for around a quarter of the cost ✨
In this video you'll come along for the whole process — from studying the original design, figuring out how I wanted to recreate it, making questionable decisions 😂, and finally seeing whether my handmade version could live up to the viral inspiration.
Honestly, this project reminded me why I love crochet so much. There's something incredibly satisfying about looking at a piece of clothing and thinking, "I can make that myself" 💛
Expect plenty of crochet, a little bit of creative problem-solving, and of course the final reveal ✨
For this project I used:
🧶 Cygnet Tickly Tots Baby DK
🪡 5mm hook throughout
🪡 Tapestry needle for sewing everything together

I was diagnosed with Lukemia about 5 months ago. I rediscovered crochet as a way to cope and.... just get out of my head. I came to YouTube for inspiration and I found it. All those yarn haul videos.🤦♀️I bought so much yarn. I bought hooks and books. I've made 6 blankets, 2 tote bags and hundreds of crochet flowers. I barely made a dent in my yarn stash. Fortunately treatment is going well. I refuse to leave all this beautiful yarn behind.😊 I just want to make cardigans. They just feel intimidating to me.
