The lighting system was never meant for path tracing and it shows , it's like a very washed out reshade preset

Turning off bloom fixes the washed out feel.

Edit: also check your HDR settings PC folks. Defaults were definitely too high for my monitor.

As a professional colorist and cinematographer, i much prefer the enhanced edition, it has a much stronger Art Direction. I got disappointed at the new update

While playing the remaster version I realised that The Next-Gen update doubled down on the dark fantasy aesthetic, while the Remasted looks good as in technically but loses the visual direction. Also about the performance, it is not only that the RT PT is hungry, even with pure rasterization it is chugging VRAM like nobody's business as if the next gen edition already didn't have memory leak issues.

The new sign effects suck. You can barely even see if quen is active.

The original (2022 update) was already perfect. I'm not going to upgrade.

Because it's been so many years since I last played W3, it's hard for me to make a comparison based on how it looks, there are indeed some interesting changes, but my problem is that, even though I put it on an Xbox S, in three hours of play it crashed twice, even though years ago in over 100 hours it didn't crash once.

they blurred everything and now its a remaster bahaha

There's definitely an audio problem with the voices.

Confirmed it on Reddit funny how the reviews seem to overlook that. Apparently you have to meditate to fix the bug but that's not unlocked in the beginning

That’s weird, if anything playing it I felt like it looked “darker”, not lighter and washed.

Also if it’s looking too washed for anyone, you can just reduce the Gamma in the Graphics settings

It's so weird that none of the YouTubers have completely broken games like we do, my game is cooked

I was so excited for the Remaster, I really thought by the videos I've seen and news I've heard that it would be a complete change of the game which was mind blowing that they would do that. But playing it for a little while on release day, I realized I didn't notice anything really that different. I feel like the Complete version in 2022 was a all across the board upgrade, no pros and cons, just all pros. But with this remaster, it feels like its hit or miss, there's this weird delay to attacks and actions (which I thought i was imagining it until the video said the same) and the visuals are just...ok? I was really hoping for a bigger QoL change than auto loot. But it's still one of my favorite games and worthy of a playthrough.

It's abundantly clear that very few if any of the people who worked on the remaster worked on the original and that they fundimentally don't understand it either. The visual "enhancements" might be improvements from a fidelity or realism standpoint but they negatively impact the atmosphere and aesthetic (not to mention performance, god damn)

You can adjust the display settings to your preferences or use reshade. The lighting was unintentional result of raytracing.

This remaster makes me question why it needed to exist? The 2022 update still looks just as good, if not better because it maintains the art style while the remaster makes everything oversaturated and washed out. Why spend time and resources for this remaster when those could've been allocated to the upcoming DLC?

If you are on console, you must play the remaster. You can't go back to the 2022 version, which is ridiculous because, imo, it looks better.

New lighting looks awful.

Somehow they managed to mess up the lighting and brightness to the point that it utterly hurts my eyes, even when I turn off bloom and tone down gamma settings. It's almost unplayable...

If you’re an AMD user and notice significant graphical issues, you’ll need to manually update to the latest driver through their website. (Driver 26.9.2)

my biggest issue was the bug where you couldnt equip and unequip armor and they didnt fix it
