I should have made it clear in the video, my bottle of the 6yo was purchased 4 months ago so its possible one of the final batches and therefore possibly the closest possible comparisons between the two that we can get, (potentially around 8 years) perhaps the earliest batch would have much more significant changes, cheers everyone!

Really enjoyed the signatory hundred proof Speyside (M) exceptional cask. 16 year old.

The legend around this bottling being that a vatting of macallan got tainted at the bottling plant ... tainted with grouse was what I heard. Tainted to such an extent it couldn't be bottled as a single malt and therefore was worthless to Edrington.
