The Insane Plot Holes in Stranger Things Season 5

Stranger Things Season 5 had fans excited for an amazing finale. But the final season was littered with plot holes, bad writing, and disappointing payoffs. This video breaks down, analyzes and roasts the last season of the Netflix hit series and maligns the Duffer brothers for their awful decision making. I wish we were leaving Hawkins and the Dungeons and Dragons party on better terms.

The court mall fight with the 20 ft tall fleshy mind flayer was a better battle than the ending battle.

There were “missing people” all over town after season 4. Presumably dead.
Not a single word about it

People keep saying they had a couple of years to write this story, but if we’re being real, they should have been thinking about how things would play out, from season 2, when they decided to continue the show lol. They’ve had like 7+ years to think it all through. Just pure lazyness lol

makes me happy to see people as disappointed as me.

Murray smuggled in hand grenades under the lettuce but Dusty and Steve were using knives tied to broomsticks in the final battle.

Felt like somebody watched a recap of the series in the background while cleaning and then got hired to write the entire final season. Its crazy the quality change within 3 years

The biggest issue with this season is they played it far too safe. You feel no tension or threat it’s bland and vanilla.

It seems like they just had a wish list of moments they wanted and didn’t care how they got to those moments

also all the “the mind flayer likes it cold” was for nothing. we got a yellow desert landscape and yes deserts can be freezing cold, but, nobody mentions “jeez it’s cold here” or shivers, or makes any mention of the temp change. so… why? he clearly doesn’t mind it room temp so what was the whole point of that?

That whole 7 second rule didn't even play out 7 seconds later. I counted right when she said it.

You could hardly tell Mike and El were together till the last episode and it wasn't much.

Still can't understand why objects anchored to the ground were blown through the hole in the wall, but people could easily walk in the gale force winds.

i don't understand why they insisted on being just two guys writing this. i would WANT a writers' room, where me and like 10 other writers iterate through every fact and fan theory, planning things out, not missing anything important. that's a strength not a weakness.

So nobody is questioning how anybody could just go on top of the church and spy on a military base? Especially during the cold war. Huh?
And an addition to your point at 21:24 :
The bullies at Eddies grave literally did more damage to dustin than the Mindflayer and Vecna to the whole cast. Where they drunk while writing? How did this cost half a billion USD?

You know what's really funny about this? It is the second time that two D&D guys screwed up a show's finale.

And they gave absolutely no real time for mike and eleven at all, She cared so little of him.She came up with the whole plan and just ditched him last second

Producers or writers need to normalize stepping aside if they can’t come up with good ideas, or dialogue. Such a let down.

The sad part is that Eddie’s name was never cleared of being a cult leader smh

The beginning of season 5 where they said the military just covered up the cracks with these metal things, was already so stupid for me and I thought "wow season 4 made it to be this end of the world thing and season 5 just screwed that over". Why did they even do it then? Probably to keep the people hooked with that cliffhanger, just to let it down next season.
