Today’s game featured the Bishop’s Opening, an ultra-aggressive opponent, and an epic Knight vs Bishop endgame.
This was a great example of how important it is to stay calm when your opponent starts attacking early. I also got a good reminder of just how important king activity can be in the endgame.

Today I’m playing the Caro-Kann Defense with Black.
The Caro-Kann is one of my favorite openings to study because it gives Black a solid position while still creating opportunities to fight for the win. This game gave me some useful ideas about how to handle the position and where Black’s pieces belong.
