My favorite detail is that Shane only uses dark types for most of the game, but when he goes to challenge his dad, he actually builds a full rounded team.

Seeing silver as a loving dad and having redeemed himself fills my heart with joy

I love that Shane immeduately sweeps your team because it actually makes sense he started well before. This game is incredibly creative. So many incredible throwbacks.

Having Gold as a final boss in precisely the same attitude as Red was for him in Pokemon GSC is just a perfect ending.

Between Shane being a redhead with a black outfit and you literally using Silver's artwork but silhouetted when talking about our important, mysterious father, it's pretty obvious that our dad is Lance.

Youngster Joey is now Midlifester Joey and he still has a Rattata

I love how silver not only gets his redemption arc, but he actually has reached his goal of becoming the strongest trainer and beating gold fair and square. AND he learned to accept defeat and proudly looses to his kid

I love that your rival in this game is just a mean older brother

We need more rom hacks like this I'd love a emerald version set 20 years in the future

Seeing Falkner 20 years after and instantly thinking "Look what they did to my boy"

The final battle against Gold should have had a red gyarados...

15:51 I do appreciate how despite being the D-bag brother trope he’s also not a BAD person, he’s just rude and doesn’t express his love in any way other than “this is my sibling and anyone other then me caught bullying them is dead meat”, low-key blue+ silver energy which is a neat way to show how Silver developed as a man and father, his kid is still carrying a mean streak, but silver made sure he knew the importance of being a truly good man

2 things.

1. The fact someone made a rom hack that has us traveling through a "modern-day" Johto is awesome in and of itself.

2. I can't be the only one who lvl grinded the exp nurse right out the gate?

@SpartanB269 1 year ago

Champion Silver is cool, but my headcanon is that he becomes a Pokemon Secret Agent like Looker.

So giovanni's wife didnt like that he got his life in order and went back to being a gym leader? Sounds about right

@Chris05748 1 year ago

30:55 that is what you call a paradox basically if she did do that then team rocket wouldn’t disband so phoenix wouldn’t exist so she technically wouldn’t go back in time as her timeline (and ours) would disappear so red would start his journey but then giovani would disband team rocket and they’d end in an infinite loop
