The game is called Pokemon: Evolved. It is not available yet but one of the devs said it has been thoroughly tested they're just sorting out a bunch of bugs before release. It shouldn't be too much longer before release.

Ah yes, the two pokemon types: Friends and unknowable horrors.

13:04- 13:50 My favorite eevee joke is “If you give an Eevee money, they will evolve into Patreon.”

Fun fact, a kid saw the pokedex entry for lapras and decided to breed lapras so they dont go extinct. Gamefreak saw that and decided to change it to "because of kindhearted breeders, lapras are now back from near extinction". 36:14

i love how the sprites aren't just 'upgraded' sprites of the final evolution, they actually change and even deviate from the color scheme, and has their own story/ideas. they could've gone the lazy road and just added more spikes and kept the original palette but no, they went above and beyond!

You could tell that the sprites were reaching the boundaries of the square

Wait until some group of madmen combine Pokemon: evolved, Pokemon too many types, and Pokemon fusion into one game.

@FunkyPom 1 year ago

I love how half of the evolutions are either eldrich horror or corrupted beasts

this really bring back the feeling of playing pokemon for the first time and being really exited to see what your favourite Pokemon turns into

@muma-kitty1639 1 year ago

the whole premise of this romhack is giving me vibes of those playground rumors where someones cousin's friend's charizard totally evolved for real

The quality of the sprites is mindblowingly good, that's actually insane. Like even just the concept of the game would've been enough to make it a great and fun mod, but the sprites holy moly

This might be the only time I actually watched the vod first! EVERYONE DONT LET HIM LIE TO YOU! Chat chose Bulbasaur first, and this little GREMLIN, manipulated TWO poles to justify him getting Charmander.

Naming cubone "unwanted" was absolutely DIABOLICAL

fun fact about the Alakazam evo Simsalabim, that line's names are the typical magician's phrase abra cadabra, alakazam, but in French magicians have one more phrase, simsalabim. so French kids in the 90s had their own schoolyard rumors about how to get the mystical alakazam evo that didn't actually exist!

Pointcrow can finally experience why some people love Digimon.

Point crow is right about the Nyu. According to a legit study from Yale, cuteness inspires aggression not due to the desire to hurt the cute thing but to protect the cute thing.
