I used to do business with Chinese in NYC every month. No English, but a calculator and a smile was all we needed. Not once did i ever get ripped off or cheated. Best business dealing in all of NY.

tip in china - don't tip. people don't expect it and some may be insulted by it especially if they are visibly older than you. chinese do not typically give or take gifts from strangers. this is more the case with cash because it can be taken as a handout. if someone invited you to their home for dinner or similar, you can give them a gift like some fruit basket, alcohol, etc but not cash. if you really want to express gratitude, learn a few phrases and compliments and everyone will be happy 😄

As a Chinese, thank you for your kindness, but there is no tip culture in China, just say thank you "xiexie" will be enough. Hope you have a lovely trip in China😊

That taxi driver was amazing, lovely human

China is the best country I’ve ever been to I loved it ten years ago see something amazing every day.

China has more than 600 cities and tens of thousands of towns, each with its own history and unique appearance. It would take a lifetime to visit them all.

If in India they ask you for the tip before you offer for the tip.

Many low budget China hotels do not occupy the whole buildling, they just rent a few floors in a building. So if you just mention the hotel name, the taxi driver can't allocate it. You better have its full address in Chinese to let the driver know.

from India to China is like being in hell and went to heaven.

Amazed how clean and modern everything is...puts the UK to shame. I visited Guangzhou/Shenzhen in 2009 and Beijing in 2010...seems to have changed enormously since then.

Spent six months traveling China over a decade ago, best travel experience of my life. Hope you lot enjoy it! Lijiang was a highlight for me personally, beautiful scenery. The Chinese people were amazing to me and my partner, hope you all have the same experience!

Somewhere there’s a little girl with Bald’s photo on her visa. Annoying, but also hilarious

I visited China in March of this year.  Kunshan/Suzhou, Beijing and Shanghai.  It was a remarkable experience and the Chinese people were very polite and welcoming.  The cost of everything from hotels to taxis to food was very cheap compared to US.  Looking forward to my next trip middle of next year.  Safe travels.

That train of little kids holding each other's backpack is adorable.

I was waiting for you guys to come to China. It was about time.

I first visited China (Beijing and Tianjin) in 1980. No private cars, no neon signs, no advertising hoardings, no skyscapers, no international hotels, no cafes and very few restaurants, everyone wore the same drab coloured Mao suits and rode either bicycles or buses and mobile phones weren't even invented. What the Chinese have accomplished in less than half a century is one of the greatest achievements in the history of mankind.

Love it,  I went to Tianjin, Beijing and Sanya. Really like Tianjin, and am not exaggerating when I say that it is the safest I have ever felt anywhere in the world.

It feels exciting as a Chinese who was in England and watches your vid all along when you finally come to this country, hope you enjoy.

The Standard Grade Rail(SGR) green trains are the slowest trains in China and are not considered high speed rail at 160km/hr even though they are classed as high speed trains by North American standards. The slowest high speed trains in China these days are the older 250km/hr D Trains with the newer F trains at 350km/hr.
