The most non-realistic part of the movie is when corporate news outlets apologized for wrongfully accusing someone and destroying their reputation. I can only suspend disbelief so much.
I donāt often disagree with you, but I definitely do on this one. Itās okay though thatās life, really appreciate your insights and opinion regardless.
I might be in the minority but it was refreshing to just have an entertaining superhero movie and not another origin story this really felt like a extended episode of the cartoon in the 90s early 2000s where you can just parachute in on a random episode and enjoy it I really enjoyed that aspect
I get the criticism, but an origin wasnāt neededāGunn didnāt change enough. Krypto also isnāt really Supermanās dog in the movie, he was dog-sitting, so it makes sense heās unruly. He also showed restraint with Lex, so heās not a danger to kids.
As for Supergirl, her behavior reflects her miniseries Woman of Tomorrowāsheās dealing with loss, not hope. She left Krypton as a teen, not a baby like Clark, so her story explores grief, not just heroism.
We didn't see Pattinson's Batman Origin story. We didn't see Holland's Spiderman backstory. We still liked it, then why can't we accept Superman movie without his origin? š¤·š»
Krypto isnāt Supermanās dog. That reveal at the end made a lot of the āweirdā choices about how Superman treats Krypto make sense. He didnāt train him so he doesnāt listen. Heās watching Krypto for his cousin so when Lex kidnaps him heās angry because Krypto was his responsibility and he feels guilty.
I usually agree with your reviews, but nobody needs a Superman origin story. I actually appreciate that this movie picked up right in the middle of the action. Additionally, not every meta human needs an origin story either. Also in recognition to one of your regular complaints they did us a favor by keeping this film at two hours long.
The fact that a major plot point of this movie is a message from Kal-El's parents saying, "Sleep with a bunch of women son. Have as many wives as you can." is the most bizarre thing to me
