Hearing that the captain and the nerd still talk occasionally after all these years is really heart warming, I’d be so down to see them save Christmas one last time. Thanks to the 2 gigachads who sent in the lost pilot!!

Captain S fills with me the kind of nostalgia that litterally pains me. It was truly a simpler time

Captain S Will Return has never been more painful to hear

Thanks for posting this, was a big fan of Captain S Back in the day and I'm glad to see that Brett, Chad & the others are doing well

Man, Brett talking about mean comments was really funny. He is so right about people taking this way to seriously.

Brett: James has an unmatched work ethic!
Dylan: Mhm

I'm so glad YouTube recommended your Captain S videos to me. These filled me with such nostalgia. I still have my Captain S DVD set and CD soundtrack! Really awesome to hear Brett reminisce.

He laughed while saying James has unmatched work ethic

I randomly ran into Brett Vanderbrook when I was a messenger over a decade ago. He was super nice, and amazed that I recognized him.

Both videos on Captain S have been wholesome and hype. Kinda feel that this group of friends got spared of the hellscape that Rolfe and Walker got into it.
Thank you for your work. Now i need Captain S saving Cinemassacre land 😅.

Wow, I found Brett talking about Captain S on TikTok last year and suggested he check out your video. Cool to know this interview was able to happen!

Dude Brett is so cool. He really is one hell of a guy. And he will always be our Captain.

Fantastic interview, it was really cool to hear Brett wax nostalgic and talk about some new details, here's hoping that the season 2 episode that got filmed gets released at some point, even if its unfinished.

I loved watching Captain S, great show and sad it never got another season or more episodes, I still own the complete DVD I got in 2008

This was great. I never watched Captain S back in the day, but I still enjoyed this interview with Brett Vanderbrook and the IF retrospective itself. You can tell that this web-series was a real passion project for them, created back when sharing videos on the internet was still a novel concept. Ah, the 2000s nostalgia! Anyway, I hope one day we'll get to see that unfinished pilot for Season 2.

I’ve been skulking about on Youtube since 2006 and have very seldom seen creators put so much consideration and effort into their projects as this channel. Awesome work, Dylan, the world needs more creators like you!

That 199X comment for when it was set reminded me of when in time I tried to figure out when the the TV show Gotham was set.

Felt like it was set in modern day sometimes until you realised there wasn’t a TV, Cellphone and/or desktop/laptop computer insight.

Hello Dylan, hope you are doing well. Just wanted to say your video on the downfall of Cinemassacre was incredible! Everything was meticulously crafted and presented. Your journey with James mirrors my own. I also discovered him as a kid and grew up with his content. Whilst other videos callously attacked Rolfe, you approached the situation from a place of tremendous compassion and respect, where you did not come across as judgemental or condescending at all and instead, offered genuine constructive criticism. The video was also very touching at points, making me well up with emotion. I can't even fathom how long it took to write the script, let alone make the damn thing and render it not once, not twice, but seven times. Sounds like pure hell! It reminded me of how James used to edit his movies with multiple VCRs. Really looking forward to your Channel awesome retrospective

I remember watching that parking lot fight video long ago with some of my old friends, and we were wondering "who is that short guy getting in the way of the fight?"

Uh, sorry about that.

So awesome that you got to interview Brett! I remember you saying you wanted to on the interview you did for Red Cow Arcade I think?

I really enjoyed hearing this interview. I always wanted to see a season 2 so getting to hear about it is really nice. There was never much news on the PBC productions website.

I watched Captain S from the very beginning. The first time I heard about it was when they did a promo for it on an episode of the Sidesrollers podcast. Doesn't seem like that long ago, but the internet landscape has changed so much since then. I remember transferring the episodes as they came out to my ipod nano.
