I have been to quite a few Tool experiences (it’s an experience, not a concert) and I highly recommend indoor shows.  You do not get the same effect at outside shows.  The lights and stage add to the experience which, IMO, are a little lost when outside. During this part of the song .. I am on a magic carpet ride just enjoying the ride.

I always feel this song is about inner fear itself and how to blast it out of you for personal growth.

ADAM JONES=ADAM JONES=ADAM JONES. . . UM, ADAM JONES

Bro you and 99% of the concert goers will be blasted at a TOOL concert😊😊

Adam's maning the grill at this cookout 🔥🔥

This songs false endings are sooooo gooood!
You're never sure if its not going to kick back up again, just like a true storm

Its called the Tool Trance when those long moments happen. Maynard leaves the stage. Epic visuals at Tool shows too.

"Danny needs to go to jail for this!"
Just a reminder, he was 58 when the album came out and he's playing these same songs, just as proficiently at almost 65 years old.

Hey Mr Biscuits I'm a lifelong tool fan and I have to think this song may be the pinnacle of four musical genius's coming together. It's wild . Love your reaction man your the goat of tool reactions that's for sure.

Maynard said its funny to watch new comers show up at a concert looking to mosh pit and the polyrhythms mess up their ability to bob the head and jump around so everyone stares like zombies. Its more hypnotic than moshy but I was yelling at full volume and loved every single second. Their shows are unmatched and you feel those drums in your chest with visuals out the  park.

Tool is the only band we’re every single member is as important as each other , they are all cracked beyond belief, bass , drummer, guitarist, singer, they are all one , this is why it’s so damn good , with their music and that sound they take you to unbelievable places, they are beyond talented 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Tool army reporting!

Nah man.  I think this is about cutting a toxic person out of your life. They are the tempest wreaking havoc.

I have an adult daughter who is diagnosed bipolar and refuses medication.  I’ve finally had to go no contact with her at 25yo because the havoc she can wreak is beyond my ability to survive. I’ve felt the calm before the tempest more times than I can remember.  It wasn’t until I recognized the pattern and realized her actions have never change that I begin see her clearly.
Maynard’s lyrics here make so much sense to me, it’s terrifying.

Personally,  I think your 1st Tool concert should be sober-ish.... just so you know for sure how special that experience was. It's life changing- Even sober!!

Inside is best, and those moments are just.....chefs kiss.....beautiful, zoning out, FELLING THE DRUGS (they are impotortant) and just fucking straight up VIBING. Loving all of the sounds, and the breeze, the vibrations from the bass, and kickdrum.....just literally like being an embryo in a self-made hamsterball with a great out. That time and music change, brings you out, and makes you feel like now a time lord.

I like to call this one Riff City: population - Adam Jones

Bro, during a live Tool show, they will transition out of a song with crazy riffs that makes you/me forget what song their on for 5 minutes and then transition back to it and finish it off. I get goosebumps just trying to explain it.

Maynard isn't a singer. His voice is a instrument. I often grove to his voice not caring what the words are

I feel this is Adam's swan song. He is killing his favorite guitar.
