The most thought provoking and insightful reaction video I've ever seen and I have seen many

tool finally found the proper interpreter.

I also see Maynards sense of humor. By creating these lyrics causing everone to "Overthink" the lyrics and "Overanalyze"...its like we all got "Punked" by Maynard!

Keep going with your Tool reactions and I will keep watching you.  I’ve been watching reaction videos since the beginning of this platform and it has changed so much into it being a money making platform. I rarely find reactors that do it for the simple joy of experiencing artists outside their norm. What’s so frustrating is how fake their reactions are and are simply oohing and ahhing from people who pay them to react to their recommendations.
I am so glad I found your channel and I can tell you are genuine with your reactions and give very honest feedback. Keep up the good work. I will watch more of your content outside of Tool.

I’ve seen hundreds of Tool reactions. I’m the biggest Tool fan since the beginning. Your reactions are the best

He was in the middle of his spiritual growth thru this and a couple other albums. His mom's condition drove his path of enlightenment. He was in awe of her faith despite her situation.

You must attend a Tool concert. As fantastic as many stereo's and headphones are now a days. NOTHING compares to the live show. Feeling every beat reverberating through your entire being. It's magic. I HIGHLY recommend it. Also, Parabol/Parabola next. It's a 2 part song.

“Everyone may believe a higher being even if that’s not a deity but simply a better version of yourself tomorrow. That’s still a higher being to imagine and aspire to be.”

What a profound fucking thought. For an agnostic or atheist. That’s 🔥

So many reactions to this song I've watched. This is absolutely the deepest I've seen anyone go. A few are up there, but bro, you're poking at angles here that I've never looked at before. Thank you.

I've been a fan of TOOL for 25 years, maybe a little more. The fact that I can still listen to songs and albums like lateralus and still hear new things or different interpretations of their music is what makes TOOL special. I'm sitting here tearing up listening to a 20 year old song from a little bit different perspective. I think I've watched maybe  4 of your react videos to TOOL songs and you have nailed each one.  I don't think there is a "correct" interpretation for any song but the little rabbit holes you go down from time to time and explanations are fantastic.

Newborns see in black, white and shades of gray. Colors come along later down the road of development.

As a huge, lifelong Tool fan ("from the first EP, back from '92"), i love watching new fans unfold in real time. I remember what it felt like finding Tool, and the ways that their music moved me on so many levels. Watching that same reaction in others gives me goosebumps all over again. Many reaction videos appreciate the visceral reaction they have to the music, and the intricate production and instrumental complexity, but you're the first I've seen who really digs deeply into the lyrics like you do, and you do an amazing job of picking up what they are putting down, but also allowing your own personal interpretations to have play their part as well.

The most humble and intelligent person I've ever heard speak on Youtube.  The perfect candidate for truly absorbing the messages within Tool's lyrics.  Amazing.

11:38 You would be left wanting. He will not give you the answers you seek. He will not “explain” his lyrics to you. It is up to YOU to interpret them in the way that you choose. That’s sort of the whole point of the way Tool makes music. Your interpretation was excellent though, I have to say. Very insightful.

You've said "that's the best Tool song there is" after every one, but this time it's actually true, imo.

I am a physics student, i am far from done with my studies but so far i have noticed this, Math seems to be ridiculously closely connected to nature, there are exceptions but for the most part you can predict what nature will do, just by running the calculations beforehand, it will come true for such a vast amount of times, you start to assume math is part of nature.

Math tends to reward you for respecting it's symmetries.
Math also rewards nature for doing this, which is why you see fractals and symetrical things in nature all the time.
Nature doesn't care about convenience but whatever happens to be mathematically convenient is mostly that which nature falls back on.
thats why so manny things in nature converge towards geometrical shapes.
planets forming almost perfect Spheres because gravity acts in every direction equally, respecting rotational symmetrie along every axis simultaniously, crystalized atomic structures of Pyrite forming almost perfect cubes becuae the attraction of the sigle attoms of pyrite just happens to be perfectly square because it respects the symmetries of those attractive and repellant forces and so on and so forth.
When you look closely into nature you see math so insanely often, you cant help but think that this happens in more places than you are capable of comprehending...

I never comment because I watch YouTube on my TV but you Sir, have made me pull up my phone so I can say something. I started following you for Ren and Tool. Ren is my favorite artist and Tool is my favorite band. I love the depth of your reactions. I have been watching reactions to both Ren and Tool for years and have never seen anyone share such an insightful and unique perspective. Thank you for thinking soooo far out of the box!  I’m learning so much!

Bro I appreciate your humility and the depth in your break downs so much! Watching you find these guys is like hearing them for the first time from another angle.

Hi!  The lyrics about “black then white are all I see, in my infancy, red & yellow…” is talking also about human vision development during the first year.  It takes time for the cones that allow us to see colors to grow, and for our ocular development to be able to focus on distance and to perceive depth.

Here because I’m part of the Tool Army, and I love seeing people fall in love with them. 😊

I have been looking for you since 1996! Watching you absorb and dissect something I have loved since I was a teenager, is truly mesmerizing. You so clearly have the intellect and a wide range of knowledge to understand Maynard and break down the meanings of these songs. These are not simple lyrics by any means.  So many people don’t seem to comprehend the genius that he is. Thank you for going down this rabbit hole. You are a joy to watch!
