I think an alternative title could’ve just been “Will and Jacob excusing Sean Bean’s crimes for an hour” 😂

"Shaw got shanked, and we're getting redemption." I can't. I just can't. 😂

Ian is definitely a good villain. Pragmatic, charismatic, and smart. No mustache twirling or illogical cruelty. But I've always thought the fact that they brought guns all the way to the Charlotte implied that if they found the treasure on the Charlotte, they intended not to share the treasure with Ben and Riley, and would have taken the opportunity to kill them in such an isolated location. I think Ian's annoyed expression when he realizes the treasure isn't on the Charlotte hints that too, as well as Shaw's readiness to pull out his gun at just a nod from Ian.

Ian: “I’m totally fine with trying to murder you multiple times.”

Will & Jacob: “Seems like a great guy!”

Gates: “I’m totally fine with you going to prison.”

Will & Jacob: “Woaaahh, too far. Tooo far.”

One of the things I love about the National Treasure movies is that yes, the villains are kind of cool lol

Logic and reason went completely out the window anytime Sean Bean was on their mind, lol. "Oh, this guy tried to murder us on like 12 different occasions? They turned on us immediately the instant we voiced a disagreement? Yeah, let's team up with him! He's a great guy and we totally won't wind up dead!"

18:00 Actually, that is exactly how it is protected.

Guys, Ian left them to literally die underground. Ian was going to steal the map so he could steal the treasure and money. Indiana Jones fights people like that!! Ian is the bad guy!!

The documents are actually lowered into a temperate controlled vault a night and during national emergencies. The lowering mechanism has back up power incase a power failure happens. There is an old video from the 1950s that shows how it works but it has been updated and changed since then but they are still lowerred.

After looking through the comments we are all in agreement. You guys just had a hard-on for Sean Bean. Dude blows up priceless ship, attempts murder multiple times, kidnaps his father and a random woman, and then doesn't care about preserving a lot of this amazing history because HE WANTS THE MONEY EVEN THOUGH HE'S ALREADY RICH! Dude was still a bad guy but was just a realistic bad guy.
