If you were curious the general consensus from medical professionals and scientists seems to be to change your towel after about 3-4 uses and to wash your towels about once a week

I re use my towels all of the time like it's not that deep.

You can’t hygiene your way out of a shitty personality.

Damn I've been doing the wrong CAT method. I've just been licking myself clean all this time.

But like how are people affording this shit like frrrrr

Soooooo... antibacterial is not always better. We have a normal bacterial microbiome that works to protect our skin from irritants and some of the non-healthy bacteria. You're caring for skin, which is an ORGAN. You don't want to treat it like a countertop or floor.

no cuz a towel is just meant to dry yourself off like youre supposed to be fully clean idk why reusing it once or twice is an issue if youre only wiping water off yourself cuz you already cleaned off everything else...

I'm a nurse and this rigamarole is not at all how we do bed baths so what does that have to do with her "credentials?" Also antibacterial soap overuse contributes to killing the good bacteria that lives on all of us and serves a purpose. Unless a qualified provider tells you to use it your shouldn't IMO

I won't be convinced to follow people's hypochondriac habits + this "cleanliness" path always leads to white supremacy

If you are scouring your body like that woman in a regular daily shower, I think that's caused by mental illness. No shame, but that is not needed for most people. Maybe if you've been really getting dirty, but if you work a desk job and haven't been out sweating in the mud all day, you probably don't need a pre-wash or to worry about "dirty lather" from behind your ears. The absolute DREAD I would feel if that was my routine. I live in a climate that is cold for a good portion of the year and I can hear my skin squeaking just thinking about it.
Also, regarding smells, lots of people have sensitivities and allergies to smells or work in a scent-free environment. Smelling like nothing is perfectly acceptable!

I'm attached to "family sip" now :') I say don't change it. I feel like a lot of the cleanliness olympics are classist. It always seems like they want me to buy sm shit I can't afford

if a mf pulls up to the function absolutely covered, absolutely drenched in 7 different scents, i will crash tf out

People on the internet (TikTok) make anything content or competition. So glad I stopped using it.

DO NOT put witch hazel all over your body! That is bad advice! It's a natural astringent with tannins that strip the moisture from your skin barrier. Basically it'll dry out your skin really fast and damage it causing irritation.
Especially don't put it anywhere near your bits and bobs! Use it to spot clean acne or oil control on your face but anything more is bad for your skin.

Omg I feel so attacked, i like perfume but i got really used to wearing zero scents bc my previous roommate was highly sensitive to smells. How is the absence of smell dirty now?

Hygiene olympics are unserious bc it’s literally ppl coming to the internet to tell us unwarranted information about their hygiene when nobody asked or gaf, and they’re also giving bad hygiene advice on top of that, not only is using anti bacterial soap everytime you wash not good it’s also counter productive, bc the body has a natural micro biome which produces good bacteria on the body and that good bacteria is meant to protect the human body, and using anti bacterial soap kills all of that and makes you smell worse, the only reason this would be necessary is if you work out a lot or if you work at a job that’s highly germ laden, mind you this is advice coming from ppl that don’t do shit but sit in the house all day or leave the house once or twice 😭

Please keep Family Sip, it gives nostalgic 90s tv vibes ~ :3

I’m just so sick of the ‘use antibacterial soap!’ And using witch hazel and harsh oil removers fucken EVERYWHERE. Like if someone doesn’t already have sensitive skin, this shit is gonna make them develop it 😭😭 a hydrating body wash and a wash cloth is literally all you need, and regular showers. If I tried to use antibacterial soaps on my entire body and witch hazel on my face every single day I’d be bright pink and itchy 24/7 😭😭

Ngl, the part about drying the body first does make sense to me lol

I come from a culture that uses bidets, so some things are definitely a must for me but come on.. 🤣
