I’d be dumping boxes of Wendy’s stuff before getting to the warehouse. She’d not miss it.

I wish they'd spent the entire programme budget on Lawrence!  Hope you're doing well Lawrence if you read this.

Wendy needs that council order that Lawrence got.

Jasmine is a saint to be so patient and tolerant of Wendy and her mean and nasty attitude. So abusive!

Wendy needs loads of therapy before she can tackle the hoarding. She seems very mentally unwell.

What a lovely man Lawrence is. He's really trying hard and as is mentioned just needs continued support.

She would really get on my nerves I know she has a problem but she's behaving very rude and spoilt

I do wonder how many of these people have undiagnosed OCD, ADHD and/or autism and have basically lived their whole lives not understanding themselves or their needs, or getting that understanding from other people, and this is just one way it manifests.

Jasmine is such a lovely person.

My daughter is a hoarder. She has been this way since childhood. Nothing has helped, nothing has worked. I know she wants a nice home but she cannot stop collecting stuff. She is 37 now. I have been in her flat 3 times in the last 5 years and she lives next door to me! I cant live with her. The flat she lives in used to be my home. I had to move out. I couldnt live in that mess anymore. My daughter grew up in a clean house and I have no hoarding tendencies whatsoever. But my daughters bedroom was always packed to the rafters with junk. One time when she was a teenager I gave her a years notice to sort out what she wanted to keep because I was going to clear the room. She didnt, and I did clear the room for safety reasons. To this day she brings it up and has never forgiven me. I worry about her. How she lives is not a home, its jsut somewhere to sleep. I dont understand it at all except for the fact that hoarding is definitely a mental illness that sufferers need professional help with. My daughter knows I will do all I can to help her clear her flat and clean and decorate and make it a home again. Help is available to her. She just wont take it, or is not ready. Its frustrating. But I have learned to accept it and step back from it for my own sanity and to protect my relationship with my daughter. Its just awful because hoarding has wider consequences. It affects social life and hygiene. My daughter cant have friends around. She is single because she feels she cant share this part of her life. She baths and showers in my house. I feel for anyone dealing with this.

Hoarders always makes me want to clean my house 😂😂😂  But seriously, this is so heartbreaking.

Jasmine is a genuinely wonderfully kind caring person

They ALWAYS use the passive.... the house was cluttered; the stuff was piled up; instead of I cluttered the house AND I piled it up. Hoarders, Take responsibility !

At one point I wondered, what us that core thing in Wendy's life that was the trigger and is buried in all that stuff. Then when they were having to take some things back, and Wendy discovered that box with the stories of her childhood, I thought 'Aha!' .

With Lawrence it would have been beneficial to clean and revamp a room, to create a 'happy'  space. Or tidy the front yard so when he comes home there's a lift in motivation to make to the inside match.

Wendy’s attitude would drive me insane.  Jasmine  is  such   a  patient    and  kind  person.

I understand that Wendy has a literal mental health issue in the form of her hoarding , but her attitude towards Jasmine, who is literally just trying to help her is absolutely disgraceful and she needs to be ashamed of how she treated her and her "friend" throughout this process. It must have been so difficult for Jasmine, if I'd been her, my empathy would have gone within two minutes and I would have driven to Lawrence's house, who actually wanted and appreciated her help. So disgusting and bordering on abusive.

emptiness is another name for loneliness , but you cannot fill that hole with material things, they just become a burden.

Jasmine you are a star. Such compassion. Allowing the lady  to be so abusive and ungrateful to you, yet you allow it to happen ,because you know how ill they are. I have empathy for their suffering but I am at a stage in my recovery, from years of being abused, that i could not (no , must not )  not accept anyone’s abuse.
I guess hoarding is an addiction (just like alcoholism) and that means, it comes first.

These hoarders are so frustrating.  I give you a lot of credit for trying to help them.  Every time I watch one of these episodes, I find something to clear out and it feels so good.  The hoarders are often so ungrateful for everyone's help.
