I started watching this along with my mum when I was a wee lad and want to thank the participants for continuing to get filmed. I genuinely love each new set of episodes and catching up with peoples lives. They are real people not wannabe celebrities and I wish them well and hope we aren't too intrusive.

Please do a 70up. We are all invested in these people who we’ve grown up with ❤

Nick became more open with age, and was perceptive and honest about his participation in the show. He was very thoughtful and intelligent. RIP.

Nick died in 2023 from his cancer. 😢 I love this documentary. But it's tinged with sadness now, that the 'children' are starting to disappear. Poor Lynn! 😢But she made an impact on a lot of children before she left.

Awe wee Neil was so full of life and hope at 7 he was so hopeful and bubbly and then from 14 on it was as if something had happened to steal his hope and joyful expectations. The light had dimmed in his eyes. Then after 21 he seemed emotionally locked within himself. But bless him he gets up everyday and keeps trying as though he is forever searching for that childhood hope to become reality at last, even though it knocks him down every time he can't find it. He keeps going

The interviewer assumed that the working class lad with drive risked ending up in prison.... no. He's just a working class man with drive.

Young Tony turned out to be a decent man…a real down to earth lad…His eventual family, brilliant!…They must be so proud of him the way he’s battled through life…Good luck Tony for the rest of your days mate…👍🏻

This is so delightful. I remember dipping in and out of this series. I’m 72 so the right age to remember it, and I do, very fondly

This documentary is television at its best. One of my treasured possessions is a short video of my mother discussing her childhood. I'm grateful to the people who were brave enough to share their life journeys.
