French fries, or chips where I’m from, are absolutely delicious. Let me know which of these 5 is your favourite?

Huge thanks to the MCM boys for introducing me to the HSP

I did not expect the MCM crossover but hell yes, I’m here for it.

I’m not even from Aus but you guys are probably overrepresented among my fav YouTube channels. Get Nat and Wade involved and you’ll have all of them. :)

Belgium here, we don't put them in water for 20 min. , 12mm thick, we don't pre-boil them, we bake twem twice, 1st 140-150° (Celsius of course) let cool down, 2st time 180°. ( in tallow, not everyone but the most tastfull are baked in beef tallow) (ossewit)

as a northern english person I use both terms. to me a "chip" are like the big thick ones you get in chippies, fries are the skinny crispy ones you get in a burger place etc.

I have a good airfry chip method if interested: after you cut your chips, pour hot water in a bowl with chips, leave for twenty minutes, pat and dry the chips and place in air fryer 20 minutes @ 200 degrees. May take a bit longer depending on the thickness of the chips.

Hey Andy, I usually have YouTube phases as to what content I watch. I think it’s time for cooking and your videos again. I noticed and looove that you guys sort of lean a bit more into the more unhinged and fun moments you probably cut out previously! So fun! Keep up the amazing work! I made you lasagne yesterday. It was fire

Growing up in Italy the best use of chips was pizza patatosa where you used skinny French fries (probs frozen) and added them 1/2 way through the cooking process of cooking a margherita pizza. Crispy chips held in place by melted cheese.

@wedoalittlesomething 6 months ago

i also differentiate from either - fries for the really thin ones, chips for the actual thick ones from chippies.

I love this video for the following reasons:
- You acknowledge that potatoes come from South America/Perù (which I find often gets glossed over)
- you mentioned the importance of fresh cheese curds in poutine
- you learned something new and shared it with us in real time
- you explain what things are very well for those that may not have heard of them before
- you acknowledge that most home cooks can't get super over the top with cooking with specialty tools.

Thanks for doing your thing like this. As a certified potato lover, this episode was a delight 💖🥔🍟

Way back in the day I ran a pizza shop and I would use a potato cake as a pizza base. The trick is finding bigger potato cakes so you can fit enough toppings.

Souther California (San Diego/ LA) carne asada fries are 10/10 if done right. Every taco shop makes them, but not all carne asada fries are made equally. Fries, melted cheese, carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, salsa
