Fun fact: Toby Fox also recently described Tenna as a “Tall, handsome, apron-wearing husband”

i feel like the reason tv head characters are so popular is because they're just non-human enough to be exciting but not too weird and unusual for the more normal people in fandom. Plus the tv screen can allow them to be really expressive or have fun comedic moments where stuff is shown on screen.

Knowing Tenna won the sexyman poll makes this video so much better

fun (tragic) fact!! Susie/Noelle, the most popular deltarune ship on AO3 for seven years, has been dethroned by spamtenna like three fucking months after tenna was introduced!! the deltarune yuri index is plummeting!!

@zcgamerandreacts2762 1 year ago

Kris:"bruh. That's my uncle."

Spamton:"I'M [hoinky poinking] YOUR TV!"

The fact that he's a real proper Tymblr sexyman! Taking so many elements from Mettaton, the one who was meant to be Undertale's sexyman and cranking it up to 11 with so much depression.

You don't know how long we've been waiting for this.

And fun fact, Toby Fox sees those two as intentionally similar characters who mutually enhance each other like the beloved MAD Magazine comic strip series, Spy vs. Spy.

Fun fact: Toby Fox genuinely didn't believe fans would like Tenna.

Right as I saw the "TV Tumblr sexyman" show up, not even seeing the thumbnail, I went "Oh this is about Tenna" LMAO

I can't believe spamtenna has breached containment like this
edit: (by breach containment, i just meant that it was a hell of a shock to see spamtenna on the channel that i normally see do general ao3 stuff. i'm a deltarune fan, so idk how popular it is outside of deltarune.)

I WAS HOPING YOU'D COVER THIS!! The hyperfixation on this glooby CRT and his email ex-husband has me in a death grip and will NOT let go.

a "getting into undertale 10 years late/getting into deltarune 7 years late" video would actually just be free content get on this coley

edit: please 0

Before Chapters 3 and 4 came out, I predicted that the secret bosses of those chapters were gonna have some unabashedly strong toxic yaoi and it was gonna take the fandom by storm. I was off by a bit

It's very refreshing and extremely hilarious to hear Coleys reaction to all this, knowing that Spam and Tenna's breakdown was caused by an eldritch being that lives between the real world and the game world and has canonically only about thirty seconds of screen time max lmao

divorce so bad even the tv got divorced

Tenna gets shipped with a lot of characters. Spamton, Mettaton, Queen, his own employees (especially the green Pippin). I don't know of any other Deltarune character that gets passed around as much as he does.
Well aside from the protagonist, but I don't count protagonists

@Shyguy3894 1 year ago

17:18 Even worse, this is what Spamton saw from Kris's pocket. Just imagine seeing one of your favorite people pretty much die in front of you...

“…And I like that my universe is small. Because I can hold it in my hands.” Of course. Of course that's the comic that broke Coley. I swear that entire exchange lives rent free in my head now
