I’ve had the NF3 for over a year now, and I agree with everything you’ve pointed out here.  The build is beautiful, the neck is totally comfortable, and no, it’s not a Strat.  I find it best for cleans in all positions, and high distortion on bridge is hot.  Very hard to put down once it’s in your hands.  But, it’s not replacing my Strat or my LP. It’s a beautiful something else.

Thank you. Very helpful.

Great review 🎸👍🏻💪

I love this NF3… I can’t wait to order mine (in Metallic Orange) :)

This is a really important comparison. Thank you for doing this video. NF threes rule.

OMG - thank you so much for the raw tone differences.  It proves beyond any doubt, if you want a Fender Strat sound, then go get a Fender Strat!  Love PRS, but there is no comparison to the sound of a Strat.

I have the same exact one. I love it. Its all ive played for the last month. I've got several nice made in the usa guitars that I haven't touched since I got it. I love the sound of the pickups. I find them very versitile. The neck is my absolute favorite neck I've ever played. The satin finish on it feels good on the hand. The radius is right in that sweet spot between vintage and ultra flat/fast. I picked up the PRS SE locking tuners for it. I can't say enough good about it.

Great job, I came to the same conclusion with mine. It's great, and it's unique sounding. Thanks for verifying my thoughts.

Dude. Nice comparison. I love PRS guitars, any price level. I'm thinking about this one. Thanks for the great video!

New subscriber 🎉 thanks for the video. Been thinking of either strat style with the NF pickups or Tele style or a Sire with humbuckers.

Ty sooo much my dear friend god bless you and your family

I love my metallic orange with maple neck NF3

Narrow field pickups... interesting 👍
Sounds good Blue 😊

I think the 1 position on the prs sounds better both clean/overdriven, but the fender sounds better on the other 4. Regardless, they both sound great. I have a strat and a prs and I love both for different reasons. Great video!!!!

great video dude thank you for sharing, i have my eyes on the prs and it sounds great, same as the strato actually but its nice to hear the comparison like you did

Great vid! Loved the sound of both. Definitely a difference. Seems like the PRS output is considerably more substantial than the Strat especially during the overdrive section.
I really like the subtle violin carve this rig has. It gives it a sleek look.
Thanks for the great comparison.

That PRS sounds excellent!!!! Great video, Blu!!! I like the clean tone!!!

Nice comparison! Maybe the maple fretboard could add some attack to the PRS?

good video.  I recently got a NF3 and I can't make up my mind if I love or dislike the pickups.  They are not "exactly like" single coils, as Paul Smith says all the time, but they are quiet because they are two coils.  So I can't decide.  Also - me too on the "can't afford an american one" I find the major difference between a $500 guitar vs $5,000 is almost always in the fret work because that has to be done by hand.  I like working on my guitars, so it works for me.  I will subscribe, thanks again for making a cool straight forward video.

in an interview prs said he matched the resonant peak on these pickups with some favorite strats.  that gives some jangle that is similar. to my ear the nf3s are a bit thicker in the bass an midrange even with similar top end to a strat.
