Fender inspired me to go out a buy an NF3 this week. AND a CE-24.

I used to be a staunch Fender guy, but after playing a PRS, I have 1 Tele left and, well, let’s just say PRS for electrics is IT for me!! 😎

After watching how Paul reed Smith cares about and talks about the craftsmanship of his guitars it sealed the deal for me

The NF3  just has a vintage break up sound that I love.

I have both guitars, although my Silver Sky is a Core model… however the NF3 is my main gigging guitar now. I love it. Versatile and really kicks arse.

Not a big time strat guy, but I'm a PRS fan. I've actually got both. The orange NF3 and the new Dandy Lion (yellow) Silver Sky, both SE's. Love them both for completely different reasons. Glad y'all are finally dealer for PRS. The next one I get will probably come from y'all. Thanks!

I have had single coil strats since I was 12or 13 I’m celebrating year 62. I’ve had copies of strats and EJ Strats and CS Strats. I still like them but recently (with in the last 2weeks) I purchased the PRS SE NF3. It’s a wonderful guitar. The neck is different from the Silver Sky. The pickup have a slightly deeper strat sound  with absolutely zero hum. I purchased the Orange one and plan to order a 2nd one in a few days.
I strongly suggest giving the SE NF3 a test drive.

Sold all my Fenders after playing the NF3. Now I’m all in on PRS. I just have to make sure I get those with thinner necks.

Got the NF3. Love, love, love it!!

I recently got an SE NF3 and I love it! The narrow field pickups sound great and the neck feels great.

I own an nf3 orange with maple fretboard ... really impressed n this one stays in tune .. was planning to put in self locking ones like a did on me loved gold top dgt ... not keen on silversky's tone .. i own a ce 24 with american 85/15 n wondering to part with it ... i think the value of that nf3 is outstanding n also really inspiring ... i got mine here in Uk for 600 pounds . Like the concept of narrow fielf pick ups ... it's not a gimmick and there's more girth than to the tone than any other strat style guitar... all positions are all usable ... yes the materials are cheaper but the playability n tone are all there ... i suppose whatever it is that inspires commands the purchase .. not the price tag

I think they do ! I don't dislike Fender I just like PRS more ! Think they make a better product.. Love the NF 53 cause I'm more of a Tele player.

Thanks Gents, very informative review of these instruments. I’d be happy to own either guitar being a  hobby home player, affordable quality guitars. 👍

I mainly played a Strat for 17 years, I recently got the NF3 and I absolutely love it

Never been a Strat guy (do own a 2000 with the Delta Tone Pickup System) but I was drawn to the SS and purchased the core and SE models.  The SE is my daily player and it is just wonderful.  I obtained a maple neck NF3 and it too is a great axe.  Different guitars but both are well worth owning.  Great review...

The silversky se has a great sounding pickup. Its a PTP pickup. The Squier CV also uses PTP pickups. Both of the material and form factor are identical. The only dirrerence is the resistance. The silversky SE is hotter around 7k, the CV is on the vintage 5 - 6k. I swapped the bridge with wilkinson hot alnico around 7.5k and neck with Dimarzio HS2 tapped at 7.5k (so its on real single coil mode and it hums). After the swap i realized the original SE pickup on the middle position had the loudest hum, willinsons' hum is lower than the original, Dimarzio the lowest hum, almost un-noticeable on clean setting. So now i realize that low cost pickups still can deliver great sound, but more quality and higher cost pickups can give more for than great tone.

Cooper I want to thank you for playing the sheet out of these guitars!  beautiful, Clean chords that made up my mind.  Both sounded great but the PR3 SE was the winner imo .

Own 2 PRS SE models. Metalic Orange NF3 with Maple neck and Turquoise SE CE 24 Satin. Very warm tones, very well made, beautiful guitars and awsome price point.

I have the Silver Sky in the Purple Summit and it is the first electric in my arsenal I play! Thanks!

You're not alone on the Metallic Orange for the NF3. That's the one I bought and it looks even better in person than any online pictures I've seen.
I also have Silver Sky SE but I bought the Laurel Green. The Dandy Lion was just too bright for me. Now, when it mellows with age it just might look killer. I'm thinking of getting one. Who says you only need just one Silver Sky 😅
