Thank you so much for the advice. I am 6 weeks post op & ready to leave the house.  My husband take me for rides, I feel like I’m on an adventure. The pain is for real! I’m praying about getting the other foot done.  You don’t realize how much you rely on your body to work, until you have an issue.

Hi. I had bunionectomy in 2014 and had both feet done at the same time and I have no regrets. I'm glad it's all over with and to those considering this procedure please take your pain medicine and you should be fine. 🙂❤

You the only honest person about your bunion surgery what you are going through I see some people have both feet done at the same time which could be very hard and you be bed ritten. Thanks for your honesty cuz that is no joke

Thank you for sharing Lyn. I just removed the pin yesterday. I am at 4 weeks post surgery. They gave me a rubber spacer to put between big toe and second toe for during the day and a splinter for night time. I have not had to use pain meds for the past 2 weeks, I should have taken it last night though! The splinter forces the big toe out and it kept waking me up with pain. My doctor indicated that I cannot go for long walks for another 4-6 months! I was shocked. I guess that's how recovery goes for bunion surgery. Happy recovery to you! 💕

I had mine done this past Wednesday! The pain is out of this world. It is so intense. I’m praying for a speedy recovery! Today is day 3 😩😩😖

I'm 10 days post-op. Had a hospital walker which I gave to the Salvation Army and bought a pair of crutches 4.99 and a scooter 19.99. Best advice from hospital nurse. I have like hot tinkling, so the ice pad is mandatory for me now. I will adopt the way you use your ice pad. Good idea. Got this big $200 boot that the insurance should pay for...I drive around town with this big boot, yep! I use both feet, but I am a very good A+ driver.  Uber is too expensive in the States. Stiches coming out July 10, but yeah, little pain, pain meds are great, and I'm chilling. Thanks for sharing.

My doctor also does not believe in overcorrecting. He leaves a 15% angle to go with the glow of most shoes. He made a good point saying most all shoes are tapered. So no ones toes should be perfectly straight. At first I wanted mine like that lol. Yours looks reslly good at 8 weeks.  I’m on week 5. And I feel really good.

I'm so glad I found this video. I'm on 8 weeks of recovery and it's hurting so much this week.

I'm 8 weeks post bunion surgery. I'm afraid to take the boot off. Like a security blanket.

I trained to drive with my left foot. Match 3 is going to be my 3rd week post but haven’t seen the need to drive. When I drive will do it with the left. I spend as much time as I can with my foot elevated and ice it still
