Deadpool & Wolverine is a Disrespectful Disaster

— Deadpool & Wolverine —

After the complicated buyout of Fox in 2019, Disney has finally released an Xmen movie into theatres. (we do not talk about New Mutants). ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is everything we hate about modern Comic Book movies. Cheap thrills, hollow spectacle, gratuitous cameos, room temperature quips, and laughable excuses for character arcs. But it's ok because Deadpool is in it. It also manages to disrespect the legacy of Logan even though Ryan Renolds and Hugh Jackman specifically said they weren't going to do that. But again, it's ok because Deadpool is in it. I hated this movie because I am miserable and hate fun so tell me why I’m wrong in the comments and consider subscribing and becoming a member to make me less miserable :)

I would like a point out that this video script was written and finished before the RDJ Doctor Doom announcement so that whole "inevitably bringing back Iron Man" line was not planned. I am a prophet

A lot of people here seem to think that just because this is a comedy film that it's somehow immune to criticism.

We don’t need real consequences. What we NEED are more cameos, more toys and more bad movies that are more like long TikToks than cinema.

also if the universes existence hinges on wolverine how did it exist before he was born? how the fuck does that work?

I'm so damn tired of multiverse movies / content.

@ShawnofSteel22 2 years ago

I’m just happy that now that there is a new Wolverine in the Fox universe, now there will be an incursion that will eventually still destroy the Fox universe because of the Multiverse rules established in MoM.

And if Deadpool had just accepted Mr. Paradox’s offer and joined the MCU he would have also been causing incursions in the “Sacred Timeline”. The MCU has broken itself because of its multiverse expansion

Deadpool and wolverine is one of those films that gets more bad the more you think about its story

"Logan died in Logan. Not touching that."
"So that was a fucking lie."

I genuinely thought i was going crazy, seeing how many good reviews and ratings this movie has

@steamboat3.14R8 1 year ago

you really expected them to leave logan alone ?

Every character needs an ending. So True. Meanwhile Disney/ Marvel: we can see a heartbeat, it's still alive. Dig that character out from the grave. Nostalgia doesn't have an ending. Wait till they get a taste of their own medicine come Doomsday. They already dug their grave with Fantastic 4 first steps.

Fair points, i think some debatable, i personally loved the film with none of these points really changing that but i do think its nice to not completely overlook its flaws

4:31 I’m pretty sure they just meant that Logan wasn’t coming back to life

I would assume the reason the TVA didn’t lie to Wade about killing his entire universe and all his loved ones is probably because EVENTUALLY he would have found out. They can’t keep the lie up forever and I imagine he would want to return home at some point and it would be pretty awkward to have to keep coming up with excuses as to why he can’t.

still a bad movie but i can’t imagine that the long term of lying would work out for the TVA

Great video. Even better invisible mustache.
Seriously, good work!

I loved the movie and eventhougg that probably wont change I do appreciate all the points you make

I think the only reason why they could go back to their universe is because the sling ring had the reality and time stone on its sides but the issue with that is the stones wouldn't be able to work cause they aren't in there original universe so it still wouldn't make sense.

20:10 Ehh? X-Men 97' season 1 had issues analyzing it logistically for more than one second. The parts from Nimrod teleported from 1959 to 2055 in seconds meaning the main villain Bastion literally couldn't have been born meaning no massacre at Genosha meaning no Gambit death. I might be willing to argue Deadpool and Wolverine did Gambit better.

i agree. I wanted to give disney a chance to watch it, then in first scene it annoyed me. What a meaningful sacrifice logan made in logan movie but deadpool sit with his bones. And people love the movie?? What a joke? And movie is full about variants without a deep lesson. I m glad there r people like u who can differentiate good movie from money-driven movie.
