This has been my project for the last few weeks, but I'm done with it for now and will be moving on to Super Mario Bros. 3 Warpless (with a goal of a 52:XX time). I've created a playlist containing all of my Super Mario Land pbs that I've uploaded to YouTube for those who like to see the progression. It's linked in the description, but for convenience I'll link it here as well: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc91MlKKiPjTKjm4PK1ab8H6decN8a7sb

When I first beat the game alone for the first time I cried at the end music.

This was one of the best Mario games ever made. Perfect music, level design, and ahead of its time

I like how Mario has instantaneous top speed when he runs in this game.

"I don't want to waste time, but at the same time, I want to go fast." The speedrunners paradox.

I know this isn't relevant for this game, but nesquik is a chocolate milk brand.
Darbian drinks excessive chocolate milk.
NES quick = nesquik
Darbian drinks chocolate milk to get faster at NES games.

One of the many games from the gameboy which make me wonder how the composers crammed such good music onto such limited hardware

For a Gameboy game, or ANY system for that matter this game was amazing when I was a kid... The music reminds me of my amazing dad.....
