Darkstalkers is not dead. I will never stop believing.

Okay, so a note on Dee, since not many people really know how his personality differs from the original Donovan. Based on his win-quotes and dev statements in guidebooks, Dee has amnesia of his life as Donovan and even has short term memory loss to the point where immediately after a fight he forgets all about it. This renders him a kind of pathetic, tragic figure doomed to aimlessly wander the world, fighting random strangers out of bloodlust and tormented by his inability to ever get any answers on his own identity.

In an additional bit of travia, the concept art books show storyboards for endings for Dee and Anita (back when she was planned to be a playable character in Vampire Savior). The Dee ending shown in the versions where he is a secret character (where Anita kills him and mourns him at his grave) was originally going to be Anita's. Meanwhile, Dee's original ending had him almost kill Anita, only to regain some measure of his humanity and be unable to bring himself to make the finishing blow. I assume Dee's original ending was cut because it would require the player to be able to defeat Anita in a battle (and thus require an additional character to be added who would require much more work than someone cobbled together from Donovan and Demetri's sprites).

I love how any numbers mentioned are just absolutely absurd and nonsensically large.

Darkstalkers is SOO UNDERRATED , Thanks For the Video Very Well Made 💯

I’ve bought Darkstalkers 1-3 at least 3 times each. I adore the games, the figures, and the anime as well. Though not perfect, the Udon comics have temporarily sated my hunger for more of the franchise. I happily played Morrigan and Felicia, my girls!

I have never touched the Darkstalkers Series but this was a great listen good job man!

It should be noted that the events of Vampire Hunter itself takes place in 1983, whereas the events of VSav take place in 1999... which makes the timing of Hsien-ko and Mei Ling's reawakening as Senjutsu mystics in the latter check out after reincarnating as babies.

This is the definitive Darkstalkers video on YouTube. As a huge fan of the series, with Bulleta (B.B. Hood) being my favorite character, it's hard to find a lore video on this platform. I'm glad you made one! Now I can share this video with friends who are interested in the series.

shout outs to using the darkstalkers graphic file! LOVE THAT BOOK

So.. Pyron is an immortal cosmic being that collects planets for its own amusement... and I'm supposed to defeat him as a nun pop-star.

The power scaling between the characters is insane. Like Anakaris can time travel. Why are we even bothering to fight?

I believe that the reason why Baraba Kreutz wonder to the Human World was because to look for his rival, Demitri Maximoff, whom he never had seen since his failed attempt to overthrow Belial and become Makai's new ruler.

This video was amazing, keep up the good work!

A shame Capcom will never continue this story.

Funny how darkstalkers happens in the same universe as Street fighter

Here is another one: Since Demitri Maximoff's ending in Darkstalkers: Vampire Hunter is canon, I believe that after Demitri Maximoff defeats Pyron and absorbs him, one of the things that Demitri Maximoff should have done is master the power of Pyron, meaning before Demitri Maximoff returns to Makai, the next thing that Demitri Maximoff should do was master all of the powers of Pyron. Once he mastered it, he can go back to Makai and challenged Belial for the throne of Makai. Also, when Jedah Dohma starts his plans to gather all souls for the Majigen, Demitri should have used the powers of Pyron, which he mastered before going back to Makai, to battle Jedah Dohma and foil his plans.

Awsome video thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Phobos and Cecil could have been the Jane and Jack-series version of the Darkstalkers. In Tekken, we see Jane being protected by a robot named Jack. Jack-2 first met Jane somewhere in the Soviet Union after her parents were killed and made Jane an orphan. Since then, Jack became Jane's defender and friend. I believe that if the Darkstalkers were to not wasted by Capcom, Cecil and Pyron's robot could have taken a similar role to Jane and Jack-8 from Tekken where Cecil is the Jane and the Pyron's robot is the Jack series.

Awesome video, man!

I just wanted to say I really want Lilith and want her badly

I thought it was just spooky Halloween monsters.
