amazing album, much love❤

Man, this is the first time I haven’t seen any “tHeY rAgE fOr ThE mAcHiNe NoW” comments. That means you’ve cultivated a great audience.

"Know Your Enemy" actually features Maynard from Tool!

Cover art is a real photo taken from an incident that happened in 1963. A Buddhist monk named Thich Quang Duc lit himself on fire in protest against the persecution of Buddhists by the south Vietnamese government. Very famous photo.

Rage should make a new album titled "told you so"

When the music drops out and it’s just Zach screaming “All of which are American dreams” I weep for this place.

Did NOT expect you to do Rage... really are speedrunning my teen years lol. This album is perfect.

Anger is a gift

We need class consciousness now more than ever. The rich and powerful work against your best interests.

This shit was written 33 years ago and is STILL relevant, unfortunately.

You'll be hard pressed to find a bad RAGE track. ✌️

If you like this, you're going to love Evil Empire.

Some notes:
there's only a singer, guitarist, bassist and drummer, all those crazy ass noises you hear during the songs are Tom Morello (the guitarist) doing some wizardry on his guitar, they get even crazier on later records.

It is indeed way crazier live, zack DLR (the singer) jumps and headbangs on stage like he's possessed, and the music is written in a way that everyone knows when to jump around and go wild so every live show looks like a tsunami of people.

The lyrics in this album are way more straightfoward than the later ones, zack is a political activist and he uses actual political science on what he writes, but their first album is way more about the angst and emotion, he clearly does his homework and spreads amazing messages and facts on later records, if you watch some interviews with him you'll see that he's actually really chill and intelligent.

That second singer on know your enemy is maynard keenan from Tool.

Can't wait for Down Rodeo...

Whats important to remember is that this came out the same time as Ice T's OG, 2Pacalypse Now, and Cypress Hill's debut. This wasnt just a rock/rap cash in. These guys were living it, inspired by the LA Riots and gangster shit, but also the socially conscious commentary of punk and hardcore. It was REAL

This album had me wild as a teen!

I was 16 when this album came out. I was a huge fan of metal and rap. This album changed my life.

“I like this band there about being woke…”
The next song literally being “wake up”😂

Feels like a good day for this one.
That scream you replayed on Know Your Enemy was Maynard from Tool! They were all friends in the 90s. Guitarists from both bands were roommates. It was a great time to create new genres of music.

This entire album was fire 🔥  Zach, Tom, Tim, and Brad are fucking amazing!!
