I attended the NO for 25 years. During COVID, all the Churches were locked down when people needed them most. I heard of the SSPX still holding masses in privately owned buildings. I actually attended mass in a barn. Once the churches re-opened, I stayed with the SSPX first out of loyalty. The more I learned about what occurred at V2 and what has been stolen from us, the angrier I became. Rome is clearly captured. Our SSPX Chapel in NY is thriving and is in the process of building a school.
I can tell you there are many Novus Order priests FRIENDS OF THE SOCIETY where I reside..all are being trained on how to celebrate the TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS..A real underground resistance is forming
The number of intelligent, articulate, traditionalist commentators, mostly younger, is impressive, and they are a bright bunch, fit to do battle against the moribund modernists.
Remember that the priest you mentioned is just one priest located in US, SSPX is world wide. I know some in Brazil who are with the SSPX. They are called "friendly priests" "Padre amigo". They do not apear in the official SSPX numbers but receive the support from the fraternity. Conciliar priests are now contacting these priests and asking for help ang guidance. My point is just that the SSPX is bigger than what appear in the official numbers.
Dont forget John Henry Weston from life site news. He's right uo there with the faithful! Good show brother, I've enjoyed following you! God bless you and all who are called to say the truth!❤
Ryan, the SSPX in Denver were told a couple of weeks ago by the sisters who make the hosts for them that they have been banned by the bishop to no longer make the communion hosts for the society. So the bishops are going to fight this every way they can but we must stay faithful & stay steady. It’s a real battle but I think the SSPX will win in the end. I can’t help but believe now that the SSPX priests & faithful will be the remnant that the Lord will use to rebuild His church once this is all said & done. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Ryan, your incorrect. For Diocesan priests that are interested in being formally trained the SSPX offers an extensive Priest Training Program that lasts 2 years. At the end those priests can be "affiliated" to the SSPX as priest "friends of the SSPX" or after more discernment (and vetting) these priests can request to be formally admitted into the SSPX. This has been an increasing trend over the last 15-20 years.
Francis (coupled with the way the Novus Ordo dealt with COVID)was so polarizing that those who were with the SSPX before the consecrations by and large were convicted of the SSPX positions. Plus the SSPX did a great job catechizing their positions. That’s why you don’t see too many faithful leaving.
Had a conversation with our FSSP priest the other night we had him over for dinner… I was super disappointed that he not only didn’t know about the errors from Vat II until present day but that he didn’t seem to care at all. I asked him if he became a traditional priest because of his stance doctrinally or because he liked the liturgy and he straight up said the liturgy. Of course it is a superior Mass but.. was just kinda crazy to hear. He said he just focuses on our parish and doesn’t pay attention to anything coming out of the Vatican. Which is my husbands take as well.. just worry about our own family and nothing else. On the flip side I went to our SSPX Michaelmas festival last weekend and had the pleasure of speaking in depth with 3 of the priests and really enjoyed the conversation. They all had differing opinions on the crisis and how this could happen but they didn’t have their heads in the sand and especially the one.. we had a really good laugh about the blatant hypocrisy because what else can you do sometimes? I know this wasn’t about FSSP vs SSPX but I appreciate priests that actually understand and defend Catholic teaching and doctrine I think it’s desperately needed.
The SSPX has changed my life. My heart, my soul and my mind are being restored. Covid was the final straw that broke the camels back for me. We weren't allowed to leave the benches for communion so had to receive communion from Karen. No thank you. May God and our Mother guide, protect and bless the SSPX.
