I'm going to add, probably the reason why there was tons of Invader Zim fans at the MSI show was that someone made an Invader Zim music video for Bring the Pain from clips of the Bestest Friend episode, and it fit perfectly. Whoever made that video ended up making A LOT of money for MSI. lmao

So basically Jimmy is showing some signs of life from time to time,Lindsay has been seen at MCR shows,Steve still posts and kitty was seen at her brothers birthday post

MSI is one of those bands where I got into them at the EXACT right time, clung to them for way too long, tried to get away from them, but… they’ll always live rent-free in my mind. I can’t quit them. Not fully.

I literally discovered them around 2002, when I was just 12 or 13. They’ve been with me for more than half of my life. There are MANY songs I can’t listen to anymore, of course, but like… god. That crazy bastard made some genuinely incredible brainrot music.

It’s such a weird feeling to have a band be such a massive part of your formative years, while also having so much baggage attached to them now. But no matter how far I get from MSI, some part of them is apparently going to be permanently lodged in my brain. 😭

A dude I used to hang with had one of Jimmies shoes. He tried to give it back but Jimmie signed it and said he trashes his clothing so much that he had extra shoes, hence why it was Walmart cheap

I loved MSI so much as a teenager. The bring the pain cover was my entry point. They still have a special place in my heart. Their energy was electric. Their sound is so unique and I don't think they can ever be replicated. I stopped listening to them after Jimmy shoved my hands down his pants when I was 16 at a show. I didn't touch anything and tried to laugh it off because they were edgy and that was their whole thing. Thinking about it now as an adult makes me sick. I don't have a single friend that has met Jimmy that doesn't have a story. The allegations against him don't surprise me at all.

Didn't know the voiceovers in Danger Days were the guitarist of this band. Was honestly kind of disappointed when I got the remaster and it didn't start with that.

it's a shame it ended that way...
I really enjoyed their music back then💔
no other band could have the same energy they had :(

my relationship with MSI reminds me so much of their own lyrics in "Pay for it"

"I don't want you to hate me, I want you to wanna hate me" I've tried to hate on them so hard, but I always come back to their music with any minorl inconvenience in my life.

Who remembers the MSI Top Friends on Myspace? I thought "I MADE IT" when they put me on their list. Lol
One of the first gigs I worked in the music industry was MSI. On their rider it was mostly a case of Red Bull, water and fruit. Zero Alcohol.

I really loved this band when i first heard them, but i couldn't listen anymore after hearing him say the N word with a hard R. Later when i heard that thing about grooming the girl, i just wasn't surprised. I truthfully still side eye people that still like and support Jimmy Urine ngl. I just don't find it surprising at all that Serg kept Jimmy Urine's name out of his book despite them being really great friends tbh

I saw the cover of Frankenstein girls at a best buy in Michigan and bought it based on that alone.

I went to one of their shows in Portland, OR in 2003 with my best friend at the time when we were like 14 or 15 and got to meet the band and got a pic with Jimmy. Jimmy kissed my friend on the lips, at the time we thought it was amazing but looking back now it's creepy as hell and foreshadowing.

Highly doubt with lyrics and (alleged) behavior like that, that there was only one victim or none of his pals/collaborators knew

One of the best concerts I have ever been to was MSI opening for System of A Down. Omg

Pretty sure that's John John Jesse's artwork, who was the bassist for legendary NYC crustpunk band Nausea

I absolutely love MSI so much, no matter how much I like other artists and songs, nothing comes close to them or hell, even any other song Jimmy has released or participated in, it truly is such a shame that such talent would go to waste, thus to any people reading this, remember you can indeed sail the 7 seas and become a pirate, separate art from artist yes but also we have to do our part to keep others safe.

Hey so I went to Projekt Revolution back in 2007. I knew of MSI before then because one of my best friends was a huge fan, so when they performed I went to their stage. But I wasnt feeling like getting into the crowd so I hung out in the back and enjoyed the show. The entire time, Jimmy just ripped on MCR, and didnt hold back. He even took out a poster board with a crude drawing of "MCR" on it and placing it over their band logo. The entire time LynZ was just smirking and nodding, like she was the brunt of the joke.

Anyway, after the final song finished, I turned to walk away to find my sister and accidentally bumped into the guy behind me. "My bad man" he told me, "Sorry man" I replied and - holy shit that was Gerard Way.

Dude was just chilling in the back of the crowd, with a big dude next to him (dunno if bodyguard or just a friend of his) watching MSI rip into his band and embarass his soon-to-be-wife lol

I think MSI is the one band I've seen the most growing up. (I still have disposable camera photos of their shows at the Metro in Chicago where I saw them countless times.) They were a huge influence on me as a kid and I had been a fan since "Tight." I actually went on to become a musician myself and moved to Japan 18 years from Chicago where I now play in a couple (semi-popular) hardcore/metal bands here with MSI being my main influence when it comes to stage presence. So I owe them for that. God I even remember once i wrote a funny poem and sent it to Lyn-z's fan contact page and she actually wrote me a funny poem back.
