Imagine looking for someone's tomb to find the secret to immortality

@BenDoherty-ir2rt 10 days ago

Last time I was this early, the CIA told me to leave the scene and stop hindering the investigation

I love hobby lobby because you can leave with both a 3500-year old Gilgamesh dream tablet and a sign that says “My kids have paws”

@AbyssalCleric 10 days ago

If I remember correctly the ending of the epic of Gilgamesh is that he understands there is no way to gain immortality and instead he would be remembered through his actions.

Also the idea of going to somebody's tomb to look for immortality seems counterproductive because if they had immortality there wouldn't be a tomb in the first place.

I love the idea of Bush invading the country because he got wind they were going to dig up Gilgamesh and use him like a Neon Genesis Evangelion mech.

@Angel-gh4oq 10 days ago

They were able to summon Gilgamesh and the US used the Iraq war as a cover up for the Holy Grail War. 😂😂😂

@compatriot852 10 days ago

I don't know why people act like if it's a question if Gilgamesh's tomb exists. I saw it in Hunter's backyard a few weeks ago besides his stockpile of C4 and tribute to Wendi's dentist photos

All kinds of goodies we invaded Iraq for, Giants, Stargates, Oil, and now immortality? Iraq is the gift that just keeps on giving!

"Did the US Invade Iraq to Find Immortality?"

who starts a conversation like that?! i JUST sat down.

@hokton8555 10 days ago

The last time i was this early, Gilgamesh was still alive

Bush invaded Iraq to search for immortality, and I believe it not because it’s true but because it’s funny

@chomik172 10 days ago

I think they were trying to get a catalyst for a Holy Grail War.

This conspiracy is just the start of the plot of a Fate/Stay Night spinoff.

Or, hear me out, they needed a new place to store government cheese.

I love the idea that the secret cabal has started a war to gain the secret of immortality from the tomb of Gilgamesh, only to find a clay tablet with "the true immortality is the friends we made along the way"

@SplonkinIt 10 days ago

Utterly heartbroken when his best friend died, does not care for divine women...

One of the first found pieces of human history is doomed yaoi.

@wanderinghistorian 10 days ago

What's really puzzling about all this is that even if the Epic of Gilgamesh was ALL true including the magic, monsters, and gods, the story says he DIDN'T find immortality and DIED. Even the wildest version of this myth says there is no secret of immortality and death is inevitable.
