Former deliriant addict here, dph and datura. I see a lot of comments here asking why someone would do this. Starts with morbid curiosity and being depressed. Then continues by deliriants ability to overpower depression as a form of numbing and self harm.  Deliriant use is self harm. Same as cutting. People do these things because the depression is so strong and they can only overpower it and get ‘relief’ through even stronger pain. Depression is no joke.

I like that the guy in the first story only talks about what could’ve happened to him and nothing about his family. What a scumbag.

The dude was in his mid 30’s doing datura knowing that his wife and daughter were going to come home. I’m at a loss for words, who does that

The datura guy has got to be the most irresponsible father and husband i have ever heard of in my life.

This sounds very much like a free trial of schizophrenia.

You have to be irresponsible to try a new drug knowing your kid and wife who would not be proud are going back home TODAY

the thing that irks me is the first guy talked about how HE could’ve died like it was this grand realization without mentioning the safety/wellbeing of his wife and kid and pets. he made his bed and he’s laying in it.

what scares me the most, that the guy who took salvia discribes almost perfectly what i experience once a 6 months. i do not take drugs, nor i ever wanted and even if, i have total no access to it. Ive been through mental asylum, years of medicine and therapy and nothing helped. But i always knew something is inside my head, but of course every doctor and therapist said its ''anxiety!!'' guess what, they found a tumor near my eye/ brain :). So to whoever is reading this, if you have this deep gut feeling that something is wrong, seek help, you are 99% correct.

used to do DPH a lot. took 24 benadryl in high school once during 2nd period chemistry class, remember it kicked in at the end of that period. next class was upstairs and I remember stumbling to and staring at the stairs profoundly confused at the idea of stairs while everyone was moving around me. somehow made it into class and I remember my head felt heavy and was looking at the ground. it was warping and looked like it was covered in billions of mosquitos or some sort of bugs that I was convinced were coming for me. all the meanwhile, I was hearing voices saying things like "is he okay?" and "why did he come to school like that?" probably actually comments made as we had to give presentations at the time and chances are I was called on while completely inundated by the DPH. then I just blacked out and I remember coming to at the lunch table, fully unaware of when or how I had gotten there. even my friends who experimented with drugs were asking if I was alright. then I was just really tired for the rest of the day and came back the next day as if nothing had happened. definitely an interesting experience but wasnt ever interested in trying again after that experience

Regarding the first story: this is why "I can't feel it maybe I should take more" is a trap. Anyone who has taken too much weed has been there.

As a recovering stimulant addict, I could never imagine doing deliriants or even hallucinogens. The idea of distorted reality scares the crap out of me. I’m so glad I put everything down because life is actually pretty good now. I’m 169 days sober and I’ve never felt better.
