I love how this movie tries to convince us that the daughter wouldn't know what her dad looked like in high school. The man peaked in high school; you just know he's shown his kids his high school yearbook like 50 times.

The scene where he’s comforting his daughter is a psychological horror film

dylan being absolutely terrified of incest before it even happened and slowly getting hysterical the closer it got to becoming incest was the funniest thing

In my opinion, a lot of cringey moments are saved due to Zac Efron’s performance. A lot of people often forget he’s actually a fantastic actor.

The constant fear of law-breaking relationships in Dylan’s eyes during this was just so fucking funny

Zac Efron's ability to spin basketballs probably featured more in his career than he expected

It’s so funny to me that Sterling Knight was exactly 20 years old when this movie was released, so his “this looks like a 20 year old with CGI” was not wrong

The fact that we've now lost Matthew Perry and Michelle Trachtenberg 😢

17 Again managed to create 2 extremely inappropriate relationship scenarios. An older women getting close to a 17 year old and a daughter have a crush on her father, and yet it’s still a great fill-good movie lol

There should be another 17 Again, in like 10 years, with Efron playing the older version and a new actor playing the young one. Just for fun

This movie proved that Zac could be more than Troy Bolton. The scene where he gives the speech to the health class about safe sex, and later during the court scene, always makes me teary eyed.

"wait wait wait... if he has a teenage daugther... this film is not gonna- do anything- incestuous?"

LOVE Dylan always sniffing the bullshit out from a mile away, nothing gets past him

The most expressive I’ve ever seen Dylan. So entertaining to see how much fun he had watching this! This is a guilty pleasure movie for me for sure.

I feel this is one of Efron’s best movies. He is such a good actor mimicing Perry’s mannerisms and comedy, then does the sad stuff so well at the end.

I have truly never seen Dylan this distraught, it’s worse than his “he’s all that” reaction. This is gold

This movie gives the saying "girls go after men who remind them of their fathers" a whole other, very twisted meaning

I love this movie, but after just watching your commentary I realized if I was the mom I would totally think Zach Enron was my husbands son from someone else, Ned was covering it up and my estranged husband had disappeared rather than own up to having a kid with another woman.

Dylan: "Can i just sit safely here without that fear that his daughter is gonna star coming to look at daddy in a new light and then she's gonna star saying daddy  a little bit differently. Can i sit here safely??? Is this a safe space???"
Me knowing the plot: Sure buddy (ʃƪ¬‿¬)

“If that boy were an Apple, he’d be a Delicious.”

Delicious is a type of apple (Red Delicious, Golden Delicious). It does make sense but it doesn’t excuse the trash writing.

Ok but nobody is talking about how when Zac gets old again at the end.. nobody would ever see this guy again? Nobody would submit a missing persons report? Nobody would think he'd been abducted??
