Have you been to a festival or convention that you regret?

So much cheaper to be a homebody

The main point of a Farmer's Market (for me) is to save money by cutting out the middle man. Spending MORE than retail at a farmer's market is wild! 😳

As someone living paycheck to paycheck now....I'm more amazed that people even have this kind of money to waste.

10:50 If it's so expensive to even go as a vendor, I'd rather not go and expose my business to such a negative experience for my customers

Just because you paid a high entry fee as a vendor, doesn't mean your customers want to pay high dollars for your food to cover your costs lol

If it costs $40 to park, i’m not parking 👍

Comic Con was once a small event where comic book artists and writers got together to celebrate their craft and network.

They should roll all the scam festivals into one monster scam festival and you can call it Burning Money

My favorite past time is getting drunk before a festival, walking around enjoying the music and atmosphere then going home and eating frozen pizza

That's me at 13:26 ! Thanks for covering this, it was an absolute waste of money/time/patience, and we'll never do one again. We ended up going to our favorite sushi restaurant and a book store, had a great time.

Imagine investing 22k and then some to have a food stand, and then barely anyone buys anything because everyone's fed up with the prices. That is high risk.

Remember back when when people would boycott by not paying? Now they pay, complain and then tape their own stupidity. 😂

The news in California followed a guy who sold organic veggies at a farmers market. He was buying non organic stuff from the same wholesalers who sell to stores. None of it was organic.

Imagine a scammer not wanting to be filmed, that is crazy!

Social media really has destroyed everything....

I'm still reeling over the "wonky" Willy Wonka event scam held back in 2024 in Glascow, Scotland...where attendees paid £35+ for an immersive event with AI-generated promises but found a sparsely decorated warehouse with minimal treats, leading to chaos, police involvement, and viral outrage over misleading marketing. 😆

It's all about customer demand.. if customers would just stop purchasing insanely priced stuff, those prices would come down or the companies would go out of business.

I know of a chap who goes to farmer's markets in the UK, selling "artisan bread".
It's very popular.
He had a load of very nice paper bags printed, with bucolic images of the English countryside on them.
Into which, he pops a loaf from Tesco or Costco, and sells it for 5 times what he paid for it!
