Different religions make conflicting claims about the nature of God, divine will, and the afterlife. These contradictions suggest that these beliefs are human constructs rather than revelations from a singular, universal deity.
Accepting human sacrifice ( Jepthat) stone a person to death, dashed a baby against a stone. Save the virgins ( how do ancient people tests virginity). Moses killed and became a hero. ( Thou shall not kill is the commandments)
the bishop saying lets move on from the old testament, its the new one that counts, and then he points to the sermon on the mount, totally ignoring that jesus is supposed to have said " i have not come to abolish the old laws" meaning that all the vile shit in the old testament, still stands.
Imagine a god that’s so powerful that the only proof of his existence is in an old book? It is sad and tragic how humans have this knack for fallacy, and I’m afraid that it’ll never go away.
Bishop Michael last comments regarding the Bible and Africa. THE PART HE CONSTANTLY NEGLECTS TO MENTION. IT WAS INTRODUCED BY COERCION A literal gun to their heads. 💯
We only have it because it was imposed upon us for hundreds of years under pain of torture and death. Following two world wars we lost a lot of those people perpetuating it so fervently. Since then religion has started to loose its stranglehold on society and thanks to the invention of print and the internet we can now see for ourselves how truly insane the bible is for ourselves.
Millions of clerics and other emplotees across various religions workdwide living in obscene luxury driwing in wealth and power influencing every aspect of civilisation That's the truth of their so-called 'faith' Exploitation, manipulation, intimidation and control
Moral law existed across all societies regardless of any god made law or believe system. It is a binding unwritten law in all societies. In PNG, we don't have any god in past but have our own tradition and bilief system still active to date. So what the historian lady is saying is absolutely rightor true.
The bishop seems to have forgotten that the laws of the bible are supposed to be unchanging therefore they do apply to today. Im surprised that he doesnt seem to know what his own 'holy' book says.
"Where do you get the word of Jesus?"
"The bible."
