A full set of original pulls made this piece worth what you paid for it.  I agree with the 2 tone stain effect.  It really enhances the overall design.  I strongly suggest investing in a small air compressor.  A tack cloth just isn't effective in removing the amount of dust and debris in the nooks and crannies.  It will make a HUGE difference in the final result i promise.

This should come with a British valet. Very Jeeves.

The thing about restorations is at each phase there is very positive feedback for the restorer… and THEN when it’s finished, the sense of accomplishment is very gratifying

This piece is GORGEOUS! It's AMAZING it had its original hardware! The wood inlay is STUNNING! You did it credit and restored its original BEAUTY! Using a darker stain on the the trim is genius! Thanks so much for sharing

I'm 1 of those people who really like art deco And I think you did a fantastic job

Turned out beautifully. I really enjoyed all the scraping I agree its very therapeutic even just to watch.

You did a beautiful job! It's so much nicer with the darker trim. Really makes the whole piece pop out. I love it, great job!

You are right about things like this are therapeutic. I have refinished a few pieces.

Love it and love your chuckles about things that may not be exactly what you thought, or your mistakes.  I admire your humility. Great Job!

You were channeling your inner Michelangelo, painting on your back!😊 Beautiful restoration and a unique and beautiful piece.❤

You’re so thorough, the work u do is stunning!  I love this channel and the details u show us, so glad I came across this channel

The passion you have shows in your work, beautiful piece!

SaMan wood stain is one of my favorites. A couple of ways to use it 1) apply it and buff it back off like you mean it. I imagine it's similar to buffing out Odie's Oil. Or 2) mix it with distilled water. I tend to use a ration of 3 parts stain 1 part water. That cuts down the pigment load. It is a learning curve, but I love their colors. The wardrobe looks gorgeous by the way. So much better.

Bakelite—to test if it is indeed Bakelite you can polish with Simichrome Polish and if a yellow color remains on cloth then it is! This suggestion is from an avid Bakelite button collector. Ms B

So much better! Thanks for rescuing it from a bad refinish!

I LOVE Art Deco pieces and you really made this baby look it's BEST! Keep the videos coming! Your channel is great!

It turned out so nice, I love when you do the 2 tone. Great job.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS! Brown on brown worked a treat!

My gosh that is a stunning piece. Art deco is my favorite. You did a wonderful job!

Nice results. When you first showed it, I couldn't understand why it needed refinishing. Thank you for the close ups to explain why.
