The spots have officially returned. 😂
This is my second time reacting to Angine de Poitrine, and this time we’re diving into Sherpa LIVE. Somehow they managed to be even more fascinating, chaotic, talented, and mysterious than I remembered.
I genuinely never know what I’m about to witness with these guys… and that honestly makes it even better. 😄
Come hang out with me while I react in real time to the music, the performance, and the absolute visual fever dream that is Sherpa.
Welcome to Whimsy Meadows 🌿🦋

Ils concilient l'inconciliable... Le cérébral et le charnel, l'intellectualité et le groove primitif. C'est extraordinaire!

That's pretty cool, really like the interesting use of looping which actually builds rather than going nowhere!

"Ziggy played guitar", and he has a brother: he plays the drums. The starmen just landed. We got five years and didn't even know it. They play for time.

At this point I've watched at least 50 reactions to AdP songs. It's become my favorite pastime.

Its called microtonal!! Look at the guitar and bass neck. There are more frets. Custom made with frets in between frets, to make twice the notes. Notes in between notes, are why it sounds so weird and crazy. These guys are brilliant!! Talented!! AWESOME!!

The music that I tend to like and remember, is music that challenge my impressions and curiosity. This band is so fascinating and skillfull that I just cannot do anything else than love them.

I came across the KEXP post last March and have been obsessed with AdP’s music ever since (yes, it is music BTW). Micro tonality, not-so-normal time signatures (that’s where the “math rock” comes from), masters of the looper. Definitely original and a much needed fresh addition to a long dead music scene.

Loved your fishing analogy, totally spot on. I have my ticket to see them at an outdoor festival in July. I half expect that at the beginning of their set they will be lowered to the stage by an overhead space ship.

Sherpa est ma favorite de Angine de Poitrine. Travail remarquable de ces deux musiciens. Pour ta réaction, soit toi-même et c'est correct comme ça. Tu es meilleure que ceux qui n'en font pas.
