The scene with Brooks has me tearing up every single time 😭

It's more difficult to swallow the grief when watching along with some reactors to the story of Brooks trying to adjust to life on the outside. This was one of those times.

This is part of the reason why I watch you. You respect our time and release videos presented in parts with all of the parts uploaded on the same day!

THANK YOU!

Verdy's tears are so honest and truly humanity. ❤

Verdy, the way you reacted to Brooks' fate, really got to me. I saw your heartbreak from that moment, and it deeply stayed with me long after. Thanks for sharing your honest reaction; it made that scene even harder. :thanksdoc:

Hey Verdy, Glad to see you reposted this. You've had one of the best reactions to a movie, I ever saw. Big hugs.

I was SHATTERED to the core when I first watched the part of Brooksie on the outside. So many tears.

Dear Verdy, you have a true heart and soul. It is sad to see you get upset but genuine feelings cannot be hidden. Great reaction <3

If you didn't cry, you wouldn't be human.

Having seen the movie previously, Verdy...I knew you would cry!

I stopped watching this movie for a long time because it beaks my heart, but I decided to make an exception Verdy, because I know you have a tenderness that struggles easily. It's strange to watch a fictional movie and let it affect us negatively because we know in reality, this world will crush anyone who dares to be here. The light is within you, the light surrounds you, the light protects you Verdy.

The movie was filmed at the Ohio State Reformatory.
Several real life prison guards offered to give Clancy Brown (Byron Hadley) advice on how to make his performance more authentic, but he turned them down because he was playing a corrupt officer and didn't want his performance to reflect negatively on them.

In the original cut, Jake the crow was shown dead, in the rain, lying in front of the prison after Brooks was released. The screening viewers found the scene so disturbing they demanded it be removed, and it was.
