"He's very aloof, very self-contained, obviously completely fearless. He is extremely intelligent, perhaps more so than almost anyone else. He's obviously a man of immense power. I don't suppose that the question of moral values enter into his head. He's not immoral -- he's amoral. Morality is a word that doesn't figure in his vocabulary at all. It's power. Which is something that exists very much in our world today." ―Sir Christopher Lee's thoughts on his character Dooku

"He's a political idealist. Not a murderer."

"You know, my lady, Count Dooku was once a Jedi. He couldn't assassinate anyone. It's not in his character."

I think they deliberately came up with Makashi just for Christopher Lee since he was a fencer hehe

An 80-year-old man jumped by a hammer and an anvil. Poor guy.

5:33 It’s my head canon that Dooku told Greivous “stop telling people I had anything to do with that PREposterous lawnmower style”
And Grivous kept telling people “I was trained in you’re Jedi arts by count Dookuuuu!” Anyways.

"…a technique that helps one resist the Force attacks of an enemy, and is also excellent for lightsaber combat. It does more damage, but it leaves you vulnerable to other attacks. Use it against others wielding the Force or lightsabers, but not against anyone else." ―Kreia, on Form II (Makashi)

Has the absolute best Sith name but everyone calls him Count Dooku.

Twice the pride double the fall 🔥

The fact he somehow overcame 2 of the forms 3 biggest weaknesses (Blasters and multiple opponents) where many before him throughout history couldn't (Not counting guys like Tulak Horde) is pretty cool. Though he never did hammer out that weakness to form 5; though I suppose to be fair to the guy, Anakin was no ordinary form 5 practitioner. Heck beating Dooku was a large motivation for Anakin getting so god a form 5.

The fact that he cut off Anakin’s hand, but then he ends up losing both of his hands. How he looked down on using two blades, but then gets killed by two blades(one of them being his own that he loses along with his hands). Poetic.

A nearly 40 minute video of my favorite lightsaber duelist and his form? Don't mind if I do, thank you!

> strict boxer enters a mixed martial arts fight, gets absolutely slaughtered by a wrestler.

That’s what the conversation comes down too. He had one style that he was really good at. He needed to be really good at, at least two or three.

It’s showing that dooku believed the two were in each other’s way. At this point in time the two could basically read each other’s minds in the future they were a perfect pair.

Count Dooku is such an underrated character

@cherrytonshawty9120 6 months ago

I still love Count Dooku. My favorite Dark Jedi. RIP Sir Christopher Lee.

36:24 im sorry but Dooku's severed PS2-looking head is absolutely hilarious

Dooku style worked really well. The issue was was that at his age, the dark side was degrading his body and physical abilities even if his force powers were enhanced. Anakin by contrast was young and fit, if young dooku had fought young anakin, anakin would have lost more than just his arm that day on geonosis😂. Alas, dooku's age and physical weakness caught up within not to mention his own sith technique backfired on him when anakin overpowered him

@bigmoe28 5 months ago

Dooku's age and pride were major factors in his downfall, but what truly did him in was forgetting a basic principle: We learn more from our failures than our successes. When he easily defeated Obi and Ani, he exposed them to the holes in their game: Obi's defense was basically nonexistent against Dooku's precision offense, and Anakin's attempts to break Dooku's guard amounted to hitting a metal wall with a stick.
And so they spent the next three years mastering the styles specifically designed to address their shortcomings with the express goal of defeating the best duelist in the galaxy, while Dooku expected them to stay stagnant, like the rest of the Jedi.

Reminder in the original script Dooku only lost because Palpatine told him to let him win so Palpatine could turn Anakin. That was he was shocked when Sidious told Anakin to kill him.
