We are diving into the world of plastic surgery and uncovering whether natural beauty is a myth. Do we have to get surgery to look beautiful? I hope not because I do not like needles.

Bro as an African from Africa with no butt, the pressure for getting a bbl is real (never getting one). People forget that not all black women are naturally curvy

@MP39 2 years ago

getting an x ray to prove your butt is real knowing its fake is so insane to me

When I was 13-14 yrs , some girl made fun of my "big lips" and "curvy body" and then like 5yrs later goes in for lip fillers and a bbl. It just rubs me the wrong way.

daily reminder that Shakira got cheated on by her partner (they never married yet she has two sons with him) for a younger woman

physical beauty means nothing, wanna be happy? find someone you can trust your life to and who you can spend entire days just talking with and never get bored, that's true love and true happiness

I’m too ugly for these standards. Expensive standards anyway.

as a girl who is conventionally unattractive, i can faithfully say that spending a lot of time looking at celebs will for sure make you point out yourself away from seeing yourself as a beautiful person, yet we forget that these people are PAID to look like that, they are in the spotlight for you to look at them.

I feel like hair also has to be perfectly full. We shame men for balding, but for women, the expectation that you don't see our scalp/thin hair/bald spots is so strong, that women balding gets erased. When those of us with hair loss are depicted, it's the image of horror movie zombies or "scary old ladies", a.k.a. the stuff of nightmares. Also, your nose is perfect! Wider noses are beautiful.

As a 61 year old woman, I'm here to tell you that once a woman reaches a certain age, we disappear from society. Like we're just not seen. There's great freedom in this. Simply be yourself, take care of yourself, and don't worry about what others think about you. Be the best YOU you can be! I had my time and no longer concern myself with these things. Grow your inner self as character and kindness to others as well as yourself is top priority. 💯

To add, a lot of moms get boob jobs to restore their breasts to before they had a child. I think thats a big contributing factor towards the amount of boob jobs that are done

These standards hit so hard especially as a younger person and feeling like I don’t fit in with them I hope my mindset changes as I reduce my screen time with social media

People are so OBSESSED with looks! Just take care of yourself and mind your business!💯✌🏾

While in many ways, today has more diversity, in others, it does not. I love the faces of previous decades that weren’t tweaked like they are now. I usually find people’s “flaws” aren’t flaws but interest points for me when I look at them. Aquiline noses, hip dips, hooded eyes, round cheeks, smaller lips, whatever people are insecure about—they’re visually so interesting, and that’s what’s beautiful to me.

As someone with a naturally larger chest, the beauty standard isn't "larger chest" it's perkier chest. A lot of the time they're not even "big" but just held up by a really good bra. Alix Earle is a great example, when she's just wearing a sports bra it's like a large B or C, when she's purposely wearing a going out top they look larger when they're not.
I also don't understand how people WANT a larger chest (anything over a C is typically considered large) because all you get is sexualised in everything and can't find anything to wear lol.

hello, I just wanted to share:
Iam from Prague, czech republic, central Europe and most of my friends are like no make up, no diets, no craziness about the beauty standarts. Its like 80 percent of my friends don’t even shave their legs (including me). We sure are concern about our bodies. We like to smell and look good, we like to dance.. and when we gain some weight, we share the feeling of not “being beautiful” which is so crazy, BUT in general I feel like we appriciate our autenticity. The dress has to fit my body, I don’t have to fit the dress.
Iam partly from south moravia and my other part is Romani. And I love how different parts of my body feels like I got them from different ancestors. And the combination makes me feel like they are with me and Iam part of them.
To get rid of them is like to cut my roots.
My dear ladies, It is so unique to be you.. no one will ever look the same. Embrace it.

i will definitely be getting a breast reduction in a couple of years. the back pain is a big reason but finding a good bra that supports me but isn't uncomfortable is another huge one (they're also extremely expensive)

@theunscriptedsuccessstory8898 2 years ago

I would never tell anyone what to do with their body but my main challenge is that some of these women seem to be doing this because of social pressure and not because they genuinely think anything was "wrong" with their bodies. I have lived long enough to know that the next hot body type will come and they'll be out of trend ...again.

@Jadawada935 2 years ago

I got bullied for my nose brutally as a kid and it still affects me this day because i don’t see many black women with my nose shape and size. I am working on loving my nose still 😭

@d.emccauley7590 2 years ago

Beauty is beautiful because of it rarity. If everyone look like the beauty standards then everyone will be average. The standard will be replace to things that are newly rare. So love yourself and improve yourself naturally. Not everyone like you that okay that life.
