This is one of my favorite movies.  No one better than Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday

Doc Holliday was indeed viper fast with a revolver.  Add to this the fact that he was dying of tuberculosis and had no fear of dying and he was a VERY dangerous man.

"Because Wyatt Earp is my friend"
"Hell, I got lots of Friends"
"I don't."

1ST dealer he slaps around is Billy Bob Thorton

According the history buffs, this movie is the most accurate the depiction of the events surrounding  Tombstone

I say this with confidence. Val Kilmer portraying Doc Holiday is one of the greatest acting performances ever.

16:31 They are real people and these are their real stories. The shootout at the O.K. Corral was a real shootout. The shootout against the cowboys in the river was real, and the witnesses who were fighting with Wyatt reported he actually did walk out screaming no and shot all those men down without a single hit. They still have his overcoat with all the bullet holes in a museum.

Here's an interesting bit, Wyatt Earp actually consulted on early westerns in the 1910' and 20's.

The "Murdered on the streets of Tombstone" sign and social justice reaction from the Cowboys was not "sprinkled in".  It actually happened.  There's a documentary about Wyatt Earp and the Cowboy War that is very interesting and well done, even if it isn't as entertaining as the movie.

In the scene with Doc and Johnny Ringo at the card table. Most people just see Doc making fun of Johnny, but Doc in his super intoxicated condition recreates Johnny's entire showboat routine like its nothing that's why he walks away the way he does. Like he realized he just got dunked on.

"I'm your huckleberry" was a euphemism back then...Just meant "I'm your man" or "I'm the man for the job." And don't let anyone tell you it's "I'm your huckle bearer." It's not. And the old dude is Charlton Heston. Yeah he was a great actor. And funny enough, he was spokesman for the NRA for a while. Lol

The old guy at the ranch is Charlton Heston. Charlton Heston played Moses in the movie "The Ten Commandments" and starred in the original "Planet of the Apes" movie "The Omega Man" and "Soylent Green" and was also the president of the NRA at one time.

I’m not mad atcha, I’m just amazed at how little about actual historical events that you don’t know.

When he Said "Your A Daisy If You Do". The real Doc Holiday really said that.

5:50 if you want to skip all the bullshit in the beginning

"Im your Huckleberry" is one of the most iconic movie lines of all time

Tombstone is one of the best westerns ever made. Val Kilmer deserved an Oscar for his role. It might have been his best role ever.

You missed one crucial thing with the cup spinning, dude.

Dig this, Im serious. Yeah, its funny that the drunk dying man was spinning his booze cup, but if you play it back again and pay attention, he is spinning the exact same routine that Ringo did with his pistol. Thats a flex. Man aint even sober, watched him do his twirling routine once, and repeated it back to him perfectly, while looking him dead in the eye, not looking down to keep himself on track. It sends the message without needing any words, literally. "Anything you can do I can do drunk."  And if you pay real close attention, theres a moment right after he finishes where Ringos face gets a little serious for just a split second. He is realizing just how outclassed he is. Maybe not right up front, but some part of him is sounding the alarm.

If you think about it, Doc Holiday is a villain with very little interest in life. But he sees Wyatt as something good in this world and he gives him hope. So every time Wyatt is challenged, Doc steps up and basically says "Naw give me that smoke,".  Even going back to the saloon scene when the cowboys confront Wyatt at the card table calling him "Law Man", Doc draws their attention and starts speaking latin and spinning his cup. In a way Doc is Wyatt's guardian dark angel.
