I was privileged to see Doddy live once towards the end of his career but when he was still going strong. He threw in bits like "This astronomical phenomenon is best observed around 4:30 a.m., and if you're very lucky, ladies and gentlemen, you may get out just in time to look up and see it."

The late Great Ken Dodd so missed in 2026..... I watch him when the world around me is falling apart.... At the age of 56 Doddy was a big part of my childhood...... Happy times

Had the good fortune to see Ken 4 months before his passing.  We arrived at 7.30pm including 10 minute intermission he ended the show at 2.45am.  It was non stop gags.  Non stop laughs.  He must of told at least 2000 jokes.

What a LEGEND of entertainment he was - he could have audiences in tears of laughter rolling on the floor without the need to resort to swearing or explicit jokes about things like sex or drugs

If anyone asks, this is british culture

An incredibly funny man. I saw him at Crewe Theatre some years ago, the show went on half an hour longer than scheduled because no-one could shut him up... haha. He was brillint.

This was non stop laughs. What a talent.🤣

One of the 'regrets' I have in life was never getting to see this man live... one of the best to ever do it.

He was wonderful.  Non stop laughter the whole time.  Such a talent.  Awesome.  Much missed.

Was treated to see Ken live as a birthday present by my parents quite a long time ago. He just loved making people laugh. Good clean fun, and yes he went on until around midnight but it didn't seem that long. RIP, Ken

The first time I saw Ken live was as a student at Lancaster University. He was brilliant but the person I was with wanted to catch the last train.   So the next day I hitch hiked down to see the full show which finished in the early hours.  I was fortunate hitch hiking back that the people who gave me a lift had seen the same show.  Since then I have seen Ken Dodd live around 20 times and met and chatted with him many times.

Ken Dodd pure entertainment.

I only ever saw Ken once in concert for an evening (and early morning) at the Wycombe Swan.
Truly, the Marathon Mirth Maker 🧡

28th of July. 2026. Still watching.. love  Ken Dodd. ❤

Oh man ..he just doesn't stop..i'll die laughing

Dame Hilda Bracket, (Patrick Fyffe), calling Ken Dodd "Kenneth", how authentic Patrick made Dame Hilda, not only in how she dressed, and had her hair styled, the voice, the make up for a lady that age,  but a lady of Dame Hilda's generation would never have shortned someone's christian  name, quite correctly Dame Hilda calls him Kenneth, such wonderful attention to even the smallest detail.

The greatest comedian every. My family had a hotel in Blackpool in the 80's, when he played there it went on for hours, guests coming back at 1 am!!
