he was very kind and generous to the poor and less fortunate all around his beloved Manchester...but he never mentioned it or sought recognition for it....a kind man

I remember they tried to do him up on the radio one day.
They got him on the phone and asked if they could book his club saying there would be gay comedians.
He said no problem I was one of the first to help this one and that one and he said whatever you want you can have.
Remember another time when he said if your in trouble make your way to my club and your be alright.

Life can be hard at times but our Bernard is the perfect antidote to depression and anxiety for those of us who still retain a sense of humour.

This guy was class. Told unbelievably funny jokes. His critics didn't focus on his joke's. They focused on the word racist. I've never seen a comedian so funny as bernard manning.

Bernard Manning always made me laugh. His 'racist' jokes were ridiculous, and the joke lies within the ridiculous. I've seen ethnic people in his club and they enjoyed it. Bernard may have a joke or two with them, but got it over with and did the rest of his act. It was all an act, and his delivery was almost always perfect.
