I left Florida on November 6th at about 4pm. I sailed just under 1600nm in order to reach Saint Martin, and I arrived on November 20th at about 10am. This passage went far better than I was expecting and I got here a lot sooner than I thought I would! Partially because of my decision to sail through that cold front that I experienced a couple episodes ago. All in all, I'm super happy with how Dacia and I fared! I hope you guys enjoyed coming along on this adventure with me! I'm excited to start exploring more of The Caribbean... However, I've yet to do that! As all of my time has been spent editing these videos lol!! So I've decided to take a bit of a break during the Holidays here and not post for the next couple weeks. I really like how you not only show the sailing but also explain your reasons behind it. Its educational but also lets us see the kind of thinking or reasoning that many of us have or will go through on our own (one day) hopefully :) Your example of how you balance your sails was really good. You are an inspiration for sure! It would be nice to see how do you Howe To on your boat, Your weather routing and decisions relating to it, Having no engine I am sure requires some serious skill and intuition about using the wind and patters for your benefit. it would be nice to see how do you do it, how do you ride the tails of storm and use it for your advantage while still keeping it relatively on the course, What are your preferred storm tactics and of coarse any repair and how you do it, along with what kind of materials used is always GOLD and much appreciated! Thank You!

What keeps me coming back is, your humble sharing of the experience not just your heart and how you feeling and what's going on.... But, the technical little things that most other sailors take for granted! You do it in a way that remains interesting.

Continue to go over your sail trim and specific reasons for your adjustments. Very few YouTuber's spend time with this.  Very happy to see you reefed way ahead of actual moments. Safety is based upon one own knowledge and experience with a boat or airplane, we know our limits and know when NOT to exceed, have fun with the islands and new people you meet!

Love all the 'instructional' information. How to fix faults, concerns and how you overcome them. Moorings, when to reef etc. I have never sailed 'blue water' sailing but...one day :)

Nice things on sailing channels? Seeing how systems work. Watching sailboats that don't lean to extreme angles. Watching new boat guests reacting and acclimating. The money situation of visiting these Islands including fees, groceries, and tie down fees. Below deck stuff but not people sleeping. You could be the only sailboats that shows the galley, but not nauseating food. I like to watch and hear communications, but not screens. I like to see adaptations like fans.

One thought going forward: even more show, not tell. A bit more quiet voice-over and less talking head, with longer uninterrupted sequences of just sailing, trimming, standing watch, anchoring, cooking, or doing small daily tasks. Seeing the rhythm of life aboard—what you eat, what you do at anchor, what a full day at sea actually looks like—is genuinely compelling.

A playlist idea that would be incredible: very long, lightly edited (or unedited) videos from sunrise to sunset. No commentary, no music—just you, the boat, wind, water, and time passing. Minute by minute sailing with natural sound only. That kind of authenticity is rare, and it really fits what you’re already doing so well.

Those long, quiet ASMR-style sailing videos would rack up serious watch hours—we know we’d keep them running in the background while working. Sunrise to sunset, just you, the boat, wind, water, and time passing. We really appreciate the calm, understated approach you’re taking; it’s rare and it works. Keep up the good work.

All right, you hooked me. You've got a gentle approach to life, a great ability to teach meaningful lessons about boats and sheets and sails and all that technical stuff. I loved your commentary about clipping in. I stopped wearing a bicycle helmet a year ago when I ride my bike around San Diego. I love the feeling of being a kid with the wind blowing through my hair. I'm tired of the nanny state of California regulating everything about living life. So, now I bought me a 381 Ericson, literally today I did my survey. My first goal is Hawaii and back in 2027. Looking forward to watching your journey and stories. I'll be doing the same, building my channel. I'm sure our paths will cross some time in the future! Cheers, mate.

Also…something I did when I raced beach cats solo… tow a thin but strong rope behind the boat… I have had to use it… I fell off, boat went off on its own. I grabbed the rope.

I respect your own mind on not clipping in though. It’s your life, your boat and you are solo so not responsible for anyone else.

Also. Respect your mad skills of anchoring old school with no motor. Takes a lot of confidence.
