The disturbing part about the skinwalker’s lure is that when you hear it, the walker already knows you’re there. And that it’s just trying to bait you closer. Absolutely terrifying.

How has there not been more skinwalker/alternate movies. The whole genre of things pretending to be human is utterly terrifying.

I don’t if it’s intentional but I love the fact that the screams for help almost don’t sound like fully pronounced words but rather just the mimicking of the sounds.

The fact that it sounds like it’s trying to mimic a human voice but it doesn’t sound entirely human though is just pure horror

Realistic portrayal of an apocalypse. He is suffering from malnutrition clearly and most movies people run around like they have energy and look fine.

I love how its actually in tune with skin walker lore. As when the kid acknowledged the screaming at the end, it suddenly began chasing them. In navoho lore im pretty sure that the big rule is do not acknowledge noises that walkers make, as they will know that you can hear them and they will come for you

So creepy how the skinwalker stopped calling for help so abruptly after hearing that watch go off!! Just goes right towards his direction!!! “HEL-“

The fact that the screams sound like a replayed recording every time it screams. Almost practiced, but same tone, pitch, volume. You can clearly distinguish that it isn't human. And the fact that it tries so hard to mimic one, is terrifying.

I love how the skin walker doesnt directly charge straight at the camera. It just runs in the general direction running in a zig zag pattern, like it was able to hear the main character but not able to pin point it. It makes it seem more like a hunter

I love the idea of never actually having main interaction with the creature yet, and it’s simply something they’re avoiding.

The thing that set me over the top for how good this is was when the skinwalker was crawling to him at top speed but the scream didnt change distance and it didnt sound like the crawling was even affecting how it screamed, which means it saw you but was still trying to lure you into security because its smart. Truly triggered my fight or flight, well done sir, i hope we get a skinwalker movie like this one day.

the red mist is coming

I love how bro recognizes that the skinwalker's strafing and doesn't even try to shoot, he's just like "Aw hell nah I'm bolting 😭" smartest horror movie character

I love the detail that the "HELP!" and "SOMEBODY!" always sound exactly the same. Same inflection and everything. Because, of course, it's just mimicking what it's heard already.

I love that the screams for help don't actually sound like someone speaking, it's like an animal mimicking human speech

About 7 minutes into this, I completely forgot it was a short film. I became so invested as if I were sitting down watching a 2 hour film.

This is probably how wild animals perceive humans and why they are so terrified of us. We even use their sounds to lure them and hunt them down like that creature from the movie.

This needs more development. It has great potential to be a full feature film, a series even

I'll never forget being in the theater, watching Annihilation, and hearing this soundtrack play. The rumbling in my chest as this sound played paired with the visuals was crazy.

The way old man just slowly turns around when hearing the noises, not freaking out, it’s so much more realistic. Being someone who hunts and has spent a good bit of time in the woods before the sun has even come up I don’t freak out when I hear a stick snap. The way people react to noises in the woods is a lot calmer, it feels like stretching your ears to see if you can discern what it was just by the noise. Being in the woods is a surreal experience, not exactly terrifying but spooky enough to make you look and listen twice

The fact that the skinwalker runs to you doing a zigzag motion knowing that thats the way to avoid shots and can hear a beep from a watch from far away is terrifying.
