Twigs = excellent kindling. Abundant, free   Sticks = excellent starter wood. Abundant, free.  The best thing, they're free!

i do this when im cutting back, pruning my apple trees ect around my garden yeah i cut them up and keep them with my logs under a tarp to dry out , its surprising how much burn and heat you get, watching this has put me in the mood for cold evening lol . Great Video Ryan.

I saw a neighbour with her dog. The dog carried a stick. Perhaps two feet long
We got chatting and she explained she took her dog out twice a day to our  local wood She saved  and dried all the sticks for her log burner.    🙂🤩😃

Thats all we used when i was growing up,  lived next to a woods , our ginger tom wouldn't even flinch when a bit of twig spat out of the fire onto him , even cats were tougher  in the 70s 😂😂😂

MMMMMBAAANG in the middle of optimal!!!! Glad to see you burning, Ryan

Oh wow Ryan - I get my new  Charnwood wood burning Stove installed tomorrow and I can’t wait. I absolutely love your videos so thank you my friend ❤

Greetings from France.
You just confirmed what I already knew by experience. Thanks for sharing and comforting my toughts on this.
Love your accent ! Keep the videos coming.

Buying a house with a wood stove and I've been loving your videos showing how versatile it can be. Can't wait to get a fire going of my own, hopefully before the true winter chills set in. Thanks for another spot on video

Looking forward to firing up once the temperature drops 🙂👍

Appreciate your primitive love of fire X

I have a small woodburner in my workshop, I can't have one in the house, and pretty much exclusively burn small branches up to about 30mm diameter. It's a mixture of willow and hazel I coppice, beech and rowan from the hedges on two sides of my property, and fruit tree prunings. I also have permission from the neighbouring estate to cut down any gorse that encroaches within 30 metres of my boundary, so I set aside the larger stems and branches. I gather material intermittently from about September through to March and stack it for the following winter, probably not the best use of my time but I enjoy the work so who cares! In return I get a warm workshop for free as since I started doing this about 10 years ago I haven't bought in any logs.

Only yesterday I was thinking I wonder what Ryan’s up to.
As if by magic here you are!!❤

Evening Ryan!  Great video.  Yes to the sticks. 👍 also loving your mic on a stick 🤣👍👌 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Thanks Rayan another great video

Interesting test. I don’t know how you come up will all of these ideas, but I really enjoy watching.

Great vid
Does it matter what kind of tree there from or not? I have fair bit of woodland nearby so would like to start doing this to supplement the pallet wood I use

Thanks for adding the room temperature that I asked for the other day ❤❤❤

dry leaves,Twigs and sticks are the perfect combination for starting a backyard campfire. :D
