Hey there, Basics! Welcome to my first time watching movie reaction of Baby Driver!

Baby, a music-loving orphan also happens to be the prodigiously talented go-to getaway driver for heist mastermind Doc. With the perfect soundtrack picked out for each and every job, Baby ensures Doc's violent, bank-robbing cronies, including Buddy, Bats and Darling, get in and out of Dodge before it's too late. He's not in it for the long haul though, hoping to nail one last job before riding off into the sunset with beautiful diner waitress Debora. Easier said than done.

Originally, it was supposed to be the Michael Meyers horror movie villain mask from the movie Halloween, but they weren't able to get the legal rights to use that mask for the scene. So, Edgar Wright rewrote the scene to be the Mike Meyers as Austin Powers masks instead. Wright then contacted actor Mike Meyers himself, read the scene to him, Mike thought it was hilarious, and gave Wright permission to use the Austin Powers masks.

I remember my friend telling me we had to go watch this when it came out and I was like “ugh…fine…” and I remember leaving the theater thinking “holy crap that movie was awesome!” lol love this movie!!!! It’s one of my comfort movies I can see over and over…oh and the soundtrack is just so good

Ooooh now this one’s a goodie. I absolutely love the cinematography on this one a little bit more than in Scott Pilgrim honestly. Plus the synchronized stunts to the music are just perfection.

It's a little like an action jukebox musical, just having the world and the bullets synced to the music, very cool! And I love how we think Kevin spacey's character is the villain, and then like oh it's Bats we need to worry about, then at the end, Buddy who was kinda nice to Baby earlier in the movie, despite us being warned that we don't wanna see Buddy angry, and boy we certainly do not!

This is such a good movie in so many ways, the music and artistic style are just glorious. Some good representation too!

Banging opening sequence 😀

I used to always get this movie confused with the Ryan Gosling movie Drive. Both are great. In other Edgar Wright films I love Scott Pilgrim and Last Night in SoHo. Great reaction Basic!

wow first , this is a great movie and a great reaction thx. baby's unlimited sunglasses and ipods i would guess are from all his stolen cars ... its a neat touch

First! I saw Jon Benthal at Emerald City Comic Con and he must've just come from shooting this and he had the exact same facial hair design. I thought it was unique, very Hunger Games like if you think about it, XD. Then When I saw him in this movie, I was thrown back into my seat, lol.

I love baby driver!!

Best line in the movie: DON’T feed me anymore lines from Monsters Inc! It ticks me off!

My ideal version of what a musical should be. I wonder if Doc was in the CIA? Before he went into crime. He was the only criminal who treated Baby like a normal person.

Given this was directed by Edgar Wright, the guy who gave us the Cornetto Trilogy, you expect a great time! And this did not disappoint!

Edgar Wright is so damn good.

Almost all of the cars he's driving are stolen. In those stolen cars are pairs of sunglasses, and iPod's laying around. So he has lots of sunglasses and lots of iPods. Soo many easter eggs in this movie, it's amazing.

This is the movie Wright made when he left Antman...

Very nice reaction

This is such a hard movie to do for YouTube. Because the soundtrack is literally like one of the actors in the movie. Such a huge part of the movie. And obviously the YouTube Gods suck.

A really great movie, that’s a car movie, but not like your typical car movie. Another one like this, that is also a great movie is Drive, starring Ryan Gosling… would highly recommend
